As a firefighter, you can call your local non-emergency number and tell them your situation. Most if not all fire apparatus carry various tools to open doors and they carry the air pillow.

Your taxes pay for the service, so on that one occasion you lock yourself out of a running car, make the call and save some coin.

That's great to know! Never even occurred to me! What's worse, is I'm a software contractor with local government..

None of the home depot type stores around here have the correct cartridge to cut our unique Infiniti keys (90-93 was the same, right?). You might get lucky, but I doubt it. Dealer is the best bet (sadly, considering dealer key prices).

PROACTIVE means you spend time in advance identifying and interviewing:locksmiths, glass installers, tire shops, expert paint and body shops, repair facilities, etc and don't wait until disaster occurs.

Homeowners have a wider range and function of service companies identified in advance.

Send your plumber an advanced holiday card if you expect him to show up on xmas or new years eve

I don't care even if these people do contribute positively even to me personally, this kind of prodding and condescending behavior is flat childish and pathetic and should be a shame to anyone who would consider themselves an adult. The prodding and constant foul remarks have been tolerated much too far and it brought the kid to a boiling point. Yes, he should have ignored it as it's just the internet but an ADULT behavior should be to see that when people are truly becoming offended and hurt it needs to stop. Is that too mature? Is it too much to ask? Anyone in their middle age who bahaves so immaturely is deserving of a good thorough beating if you ask me. I can't believe, it is ASTOUNDING, that a cheif contributor to this display of immaturity and egotistical BS claims to have how many degrees? Grow up people. You're disgusting.

I would further like to add that as a member of this forum who does regularly contribute positively to new and old members alike that I am absolutely disgusted this behavior is allowed to persist and for one would like to see it forced to a hault if whatever sort of punishment can be taken. I understand the right of people to speak their minds and have always appreciated the great liberty granted on NICO but that this type of online harassment can persist here lends a foul odor to an otherwise wonderfully operated site with a majority patronage of mature, helpful and caring people here to lend a hand to those in need. I know for a fact I am not the only member who is offended by this behavior of supposed adults who are senior in age to myself and most other members.
That may have been one of the most eloquent posts I've seen on the board. You have a way with words that nearly brings a tear to one's eye.
