before i begin, i might as well state my setup:
Chassis - '91 240SX Coupe SE Automatic
Motor - SR20DET Redtop
alright, so i know that wiring has always given some people a little hell. but its kicking me straight in the balls guys. this is going to be a hellatious writeup on my wiring nightmare i've yet to complete, so please help me out here. for the last week i've been reading through the FSM's of 91-94 S13's as well as the S14 SR20DET FSM. i've got the upper engine harness complete. the lower harness however, has been tampered with greatly i presume (its almost like a hybrid SR/KA lower harness).
The first issue im having is the 8 pin (only uses 7 wires) plug from the lower harness (Plug E202 from 91-94 240 FSM) that connects to a plug near the fusebox. according to the FSM for 91-94 240's the only plug near the fusebox that matches the lower harness plug (E202) i have is labeled E14 (at least thats where my plug is located in the engine bay, 2nd plug down from the 3 attached to the rear of the fusebox towards the firewall), which E14 is in fact the 'Inhibitor Switch.' Now none of the colors nor do the location of the single missing wires out of these plugs match up when they are connected. which should be a given considering the inhibitor switch should NOT be connected to the lower wiring harness. now the grey E202 plug from the lower harness should plug into the E17 plug near the fusebox, but theres a dilemma...I DONT HAVE THAT PLUG. its not there, E17 does not exist on my fusebox harness even though the FSM says its there. unless thats just a manual transmission deal. how do i solve this wiring problem considering E17 is not there. i have no problem tracking down wires from wherever, cutting, and soldering. somebody please tell me they've seen this problem and know how to fix it.
now, onto the second problem -_-
there is a plug on the lower harness (E203), 2 pin, has a Black w/ a Yellow stripe (leads back to starter signal plug) ran to it, as well as a large white cable (connects to charge post on alternator). the plug this one mates up to on the fusebox harness (E18) only has 1 PIN and thats for the alternator EVEN THOUGH the FSM clearly shows there are 2 plugs coming out of E18. the starter signal cable is running NOWHERE, it ends right within that plug, theres no second pin for it. i'm taking this situation as a sign to go ahead and wire in a push button start. i've read tons of posts of people running their push button starts through relays, others just running a positive battery wire to the switch, then connecting the black w/ yellow stripe as well as the orange start signal wire (im guessing that wire is also 12V) on the other end of the switch. with a fuse on the power wire of course. How should i go about fixing this mess?
i apologize a thousand times over for this post being so long. somethings telling me im turning something very simple into something very hard, but at the same time it doesnt make any sense. guys im stumped, and almost at wits end. all i want is for my SR to run again. Thanks in advance everyone.

btw if you guys would like for me to post pics up of my lower harness and engine bay i'd be more than glad to. just let me know. thanks.
