seriously, its not cool. im trying to pull the head off right now and theres about an inch of grime on every surface under the hood. there was about a quarter inch of standing oil in my inlet pipe, and i dont even have the breathers recirc'd to it. turbo getting over-oiled? im sure the blow-by is terrible, but as you can see from my engine shot they are just looped back to the intake manifold.

oil in intake pipe...

heres the general disaster area

@*#&$!!! damn you exhaust manifold!! lucky for me i have this badass ampro 14mm wrench that i have bent so it fits the ones under the manifold by the turbo. anyway, i was gonna ask, does the ssac manifold make for a much easier install? if so i think it might justify the $100.

also, anyone got some tips for those coolant lines under the intake manifold? i remember them sucking a whole lot, but its been a while.

you can only lean over a car that low for so long before your knees start to scream at you. its rough! one bolt left under the exh. manifold and she is off!

looks like common symptoms of a blown turbo. the seals inside your turbo are probably gone bad. how does the inside of your hot pipe look? it wouldnt make sense to have all that oil in your intake tube and not equally as much in your hotpipe unless you for some reason poured oil on your filter i dont know man thats a *****

the turbo is practically brand new. its in perfect shape, no smoke or anything. trust me if it was blown i would be complaining bitterly about it. also, nowhere near as much oil in the hot pipe.

ok, so, any tips for me? anyone? seriously i dont need them but its always fun.

AAAAHHHHHHH!! kill me now god! this 2nd nut from the back on the bottom of the manifold is the biggest gaywad. it takes me 10 minutes and 3 chewed up knuckles to turn it 1/4 of a turn. im sure the stud is really rusted so ill have to use the wrench for all but the last turn.

Maybe you should find someone with a skinny arm. I know I have beefy Popeye forearms that really make getting into Japanese-sized spaces difficult... I'm sure your days of sheep-eating have endowed you with as such...

actually i am not that big a dude. getting my hands back there isnt a problem, its getting them back there with a wrench and guiding the wrench onto the nut that kills me. usually i have my dad or a friend help me guide the wrench and the whole manifold is an hour long ordeal. i have no help today, and its now hour five.

yah, ca18det manifold nuts SUCK BALLS!!!!!!

I just had to "customize" a wrench to tighten my oil feed line on top of the turbo because somehow it got loose....and it was leaking oil off the center section thinking my turbo was broken...lol stupid line

i have a trick to get that back nut...but i cant explain it...i bend my hand in a certain way.....and it works pretty well till my wrist gets tired.

good luck '

while im on a roll, heres my crank pulley setup with trigger wheel for EDIS. those are my brake rotors to the right, and yes they are freaking massive.
