To damn young to be having all this happening to me! Or at least you'd think. Say a prayer for me, names Jason, if you'd like but I went to the Doctor today with chest pains. Something wierd is going on. Maybe with my heart they said but they aren't sure yet. Can anything else go wrong in my life right now??!!!

Hopefully just minor heart "murmurs." As it was explained to me by my doctor when I learned I had 'em, it's like your heart kinda struggles and hiccups for a second. I attribute mine to Bart breaking my <3. :(

Jason.

Speaking from personal experience, it is best to get it checked out. At your age, it is probably nothing, but the professionals will know better after they look things over.

Please do look after your health now at a young age - true for everybody. I wish I had had somebody give me warnings shots across the bow when I was younger!

Wow, i'm sorry to hear that man...

well, just look at it this way.... you keep fighting these things off right!?

you know, these chest pains are and can also be caused by psycological problems too you know?!? so it *could* just be because of the issues you were having before.

get them checked out and see what's up with it. Hope it's noting too serious...

I will say a prayer for you man! Hope everything checks out fine with you!!

but don't stop loking up... you have come a long way and so don't give up.. you got no where to go but up!!!

remember what I said, eveything happens for a reason and always for the better!

Hmmm ... at my company, you begin coverage on the 1st of the month following your start date. Differs from other places, I guess, but it is worth finding out more info.

Remember that stuff that happens before the coverage begins is sometimes considered "pre-existing" condition, and not necessarily covered. Although if you were covered by another policy till your last few days at the previous job, then you may be okay.

I know this is late info for you, but when changing jobs, it is best to ask your new employer about when coverage starts. And, if it is late enough, then ask the old employer for COBRA insurance coverage extension for the intervening period - this is often free (for 90days perhaps?) or relatively low cost.

BTW, COBRA can even be initiated after you leave the company, as long as some time period has not elapsed - I forget the details. If you do need extensive medical work done, then call the old employer immediately and ask for COBRA extension right now so that you have some coverage.

Also, note that COBRA insurance coverage from your employer is a Federal requirement, so don't let them b.s. you out of it.

Hang in there Jay, you got it man, just keep on truckin.

While I don't agree everything happens for a reason, I think a lot of things don't, I do think you can learn from every situation, and moreover that life has a way of balance, everything ****ty that happens is countered by something awesome, and, thus, you have a hell of a good time comin', just got to hold on through this junk!

Keep on truckin!

don't stress yourself. It may sound hard to do, but it's gotta be done.

go out, have some fun and forget about your problems for a little while.

I work in one of my parents' cardiology clinics. My stepdad told me a story about a 22 year old girl who had a heart attack (she survived)... CRAZY!

Yea my health teacher knew a 19 year old life guard in GREAT physical condition and he had a heart attack. Sadly, he didnt make it, but it goes to show you that it could get anyone. Lets just hope that this thing was stress induced.

I wasnt trying to give him doubts or anything. I was just stating that if he doesnt get it checked out, then the problem could definately escalate. I forgot to add that the kid that passed away, was having some chest pains about three weeks before his death.
