I have a 2015 journey (q40/g37) sedan with 17'' wheels. My brother has a 2013 journey coupe with 18" wheels. The steering feel on the coupe is firm with good feedback and a overall good firm feel.

I am disappointed with the steering feel on my sedan it feels very light as in not firm and needs constant driver input while driving down the road.

Are the 18"s the only reason why the coupe has that nice firm feel and why it just drives straight without constant adjustment ?

Or does the journey coupe have a different steering ratio than journey sedan?

There is a difference between the sport models and the non-sport on both vehicles. Sport steering is 14.7:1 and standard is 16.4:1 for all G37/Q40's

Check your tire pressures and alignment as that can make steering lighter.

The tires also make a difference: harder vs. softer sidewalls...the harder the sidewalls the better the response will be. The same will be true with low profile tires vs. standard...less sidewall on low profile tires so tighter sidewalls.

I switched out my tires and added an upper stabilizer bar and that also made a difference. I really noticed the difference when taking the turns hard during city driving.
