why is my wastgate not working right on my T25?

will.....my boost gauge it saying that i'm running 17PSI....and from what i've been told...the wastgate on the sr t25 is set at 7 or 8 psi......i dont have a vac hose on the wastgate nipple......i have it open to the air.....it that why i'm pushing 17psi?

Yes because it's not seeing any pressure.So turbo doesn't stop spooling.How have you not blown your engine?

so do i tee the vac line from the wastgate off with the FPR line?

You can use any vacuum source as long as it is pressurized when the turbo spools.

I am not trying to thread jack but I dont see why I should start another topic about the same thing.

Well I have been running my car and my wastegate is not opening. It is a tial and It is suppose to be a 10 psi spring. I hooked up my cigarrette lighter air compresser to the vacuum line that goes to the side of the wastegate. The pressure built up to about 20 psi but the wastegate still didnt open up. Any suggestions on how to check the spring set on a wastegate? .

Remove the top, pull out the spring. It will have a color on it.

Is there any other way It is hard to get to my wastegate to take it off.

I'm pretty sure it's not going to open up with out the exhaust gases there to push the valve up.. or maybe i'm just an idiot.

Why didnt anyone tell me removing the wastegate line would make me so much boost, gotta try that. NOT.

feels crazy....all that boost at 2300 rpm's
