Why is my suspension making creaking noises?
I have tokico coil overs and ground controll adjustable shocks and they creak when i go over stuff. Do they need to be lubricated or are they bad?? they arent much more than like 3 years old. its lowered 2 inches btw.
1) Tokico only makes coil-over kits for Civics and Accords. Not 240s.
2) Last I looked, Ground Control made pseudo-coil-overs, not shocks.
In any case, lowering springs creak sometimes. You can buy spring silencers from http://www.pdm-racing.com .

According to http://www.tokicogasshocks.com/car/springkit.htmlTokico only makes COIL OVER KITS for Accords and Civics, as I said. Springs aren't coil-overs either. Get under your car and start yanking on things till you duplicate the noise. If everything is bolted together right you won't harm anything and you should find your creak.
DO YOU HAVE YOUR CAR LOWERED MORE THEN 2 INCHS, AND DO YOU DRIVE ON A LOT OF ROUGH SURFACES (IE POTHOLES, GRAVEL, UNFINISHED ASPHALT.) If so, check the bodies of the shocks, do you see any leakage? when a car is "dropped" or ridden on rough surfaces, the shock seals will tend to deteriorate faster and cause a harsh ride or squeak. Check your bushings also. Espesically the top strut mount bushing. Also check to make sure all bolts are properly tourqed. I hope this helps. Lets try to help each other.
