when i turn the car off the light stays on, the person before me put in new carpets and the switch thats on the side of the ebrake is not connected.

one mechanic told me that the switch is grounding itself somewhere in the car.......................also my apexi avc-r stays on :[

another mechanic told me that thats not possible because when the car is turned off, the car is OFF.! any input? im at work right now and im gonna find where that pesky wire could be!

Moving to 240 tech.

Are all of your dummy lights staying on? Or just the brake light? I ask because the brake light pulls its power from the source as the other dummy lights. The fluid resevoir switch and the e-brake handle switch are both ground complete switches. The power source is a switched source that all of the dummy lights share, so if one is on, others should be too.

As for your avc-r, make sure you tapped a switched circuit to power it, and not a constant.
