I just recently got done changing my head gasket, and I reassembled everything just as it should be. Well, I've been waiting since last monday for my injectors to get here, and they finally arrived today, I put them in, excited as hell for it to start, and of course, it just turns over, forever. It will not start up.

I checked for spark. It has spark.I checked timing. The rotor lines up with #1 spark plug while motor is at TDC.I've moved the distributor around to see if that was it.I've checked for fuel...it has fuel in the fuel rail and it has fuel pressure...so it has fuel, right?

What on earth could it be? Is there a procedure to bleeding fuel injectors or relieving air pressure or something? I remember on really old bikes you had to bleed fuel injectors, but I doubt you have to on a 240 lol, just a suggestion.

I'm stumped.

Did you put stock injectors in or did you upgrade them? And if you upgraded what specific injectors did you use? Sounds like the injectors aren't firing.

Stock injectors.

EDIT: Also, my fuel rail doesnt have the insulators for the 12mm bolts as shown on this thread...

It DOES have the large insulators though(the four that at the end of the injectors) does it even matter that I dont have the insulators for the bolts?

Maybe the lack of insulators are forcing the injectors too far down when you tighten the fuel rail. Thats really the only way I can see that could cause a problem. But still I don't really thing not having those insulators would make that big of a deal.

You said it was on tdc, but did you pull #1 spark plug out and bring it up on compression stroke? It sounds like you have the dist. 180 degrees out. The crank comes to tdc on power stroke and exhaust stroke.

if you dont have the insulators for each injector........then there is your problem................. and make sure it is tdc on the comp stroke, p.s. look at the crank pulley

You also rechecked compression after you rebuilt it right? Just b/c you put it back together doesn't mean you did it right

Not bashing your skill or anything, just a thought. I've seen people that rebuilt their engine only to have basic mechanical issues (like an improperly installed/torqued hg)
