Put the car up on stands to inspect bottom because I am starting to get drive line vibration again.

Center bearing mounting bracket is bent. How this is I have no Idea. Bearing is mounted at an angle with the bottom closer to the front of the car. Will order new bracket and do it myself. Braket has obvious damage to it.

Coupling on drive shaft has movement up down and around, do not know if this is becuse it has a U joint instead of a rubberband joint.. Please chime in if someone knows if this is normal or not.

All jack lift points damaged and especially rear drivers side, enough where I do not want to use it anymore. Will have to look into getting this repaired

I may not be an expert tech but the center bearing bracket was inspected after install by an infiniti master tech.

I am now fully convinced that the only true way to repair the car is to DIY as much as possible and hang over the shoulder of the tech all the other times.

I am convinced that the mechanics etc around my area are only good for oil changes which I do myself. I will have to spend money to get the lift points repaired and replace the center brakect. Hopefully nothing else is shot. Just needed to vent as I feel most people on this site are more qualified to work on cars than the people in my area. Will not go back to any of the places to get them to fix under warranty as they will probably do more damage than good. I have attributed some of my other problems to things that were done by local mechanics.

Driver beware! DIY with care!

Did you have an aftermarket drive shaft installed? If so maybe it's not speced out right and it's trying to pull to the front? I'd try removing the center carrier and see if the shaft trys to center itself forward. I fear that your tech may have used the "beat it til it fits" method when installing the shaft!

Were the lift points you mentioned OK before?

Same thing here. Every single dealership and shop I took my Q to were not up to snuff; some were so fraudulous (repeatedly) I wish I had the proof to push them out of business. My car has been a lot happier since I first logged on to NICO.

I tried an aftermarket shaft at first then went to stock nissan

The lift points were in good shape a year ago but after all the times I have had to have the car on a lift withou them using a proper lift fitment then tabs bent. Could prove it eventually but for what end. Having to deal with people who do not care and probably having to do it over again too.

The stock shaft should have the rubber band system on the front! Mine came with everything from the splined shaft that goes into the transmission to the collar that bolts onto the differential... I'd be a litte concerned that whoever put this on shafted you on your drive shaft!

Ahh... maybe a difference in the Q vs. J - or maybe they updated the Q as well after the one I bought in 2001.
