Do you have some sort of aftermarket alarm? There's no automation when it comes to locking or unlocking. Each time you want to do either or, you'll have to press the button on the fob or door. At least that's how it is for everyone else so far.

Is this a SL feature? Do you have a S or a SL versa?

My doors only lock when I press the button on the door of the keyfob.

My old Neon used to lock when I passed 15mph

Nope, I have an SL with ABS and that is it besides the aluminum sills and mud flaps.

I'm guessing it's a programmable feature through the keyless entry system.

I had an SL, convenience package, and it didn't auto lock either.

I have an SL with ABS and mine doesn't auto lock or unlock. But then I don't have the mud flaps. It must be the mud flaps

I can't say for sure about the Versa as I don't have mine yet (Pick it up in about 2 hours from now) but many cars have programmability for features such as doorlocks. There's a handy little book that comes with most vehicles called an "Owner's Manual" which reviews such features. It's surprising how much information is in there. May be worth a read sometime.

I have the mudflaps, door sills, and wheel locks. I believe this feature only comes on the black cars.

I read mine entirely and there is no mention about auto lock/unlock. I have a Canadian Versa SL w/ CVT and Tech Package.

Hmm...I guess when you read your manual and locate the auto unlock/lock feature, you can let everyone else know about it.

I know this really good bodyman who can program a car to be any color.

Oh, and mine had mud flaps, but it didn't auto lock either.

The mud flaps must be it as I have every available option but them and mine doesn't autolock.

Kidding aside that is one of the few things I wish they would have added as most of my recent cars auto locked when placed in drive or attaining a certain speed.

The only reference I could find to this is a paragraph for the Intellikey that appears twice and states thus:

Quote »When the power door lock switch (driver's or front passenger's side) is moved to the lock position with the key in the ignition and any door open, all doors will lock and unlock automatically. This helps prevent the keys from being accidentally locked inside the vehicle.
As near as I can tell, this isn't actually talking about any auto lock or unlock per se, but then again, it sure sounds like it does... I'm going to play around with this and get back to you guys...

as another aside, does anybody's auto window down with the fob work? With the Intellikey, apparently you should be able to roll down all the windows...

Quote » The Intelligent Key allows you to open windows equipped with automatic operation simultaneously.* To open the windows, press the (unlock) button on teh keyfob for longer than 3 seconds after all doors are unlocked.
Yeah, I like that, but it doesn't work... Now I want it to work ;oD What a can of worms that have been opened...

I doesn't work for with the fob, well at least for me. I tried that a while ago.

I don't think anyone has gotten this to work. I know they included this feature on the new Altima. Seems to me they also intended to put it on the V but never actually got around to it.

It sounds like when Sony was in such a rush to release PS2 they failed to incorporate the feature that would allow you to play DVDs in the first few that were made So this doesn't work with the I-Key either? If not, it would be a nice feature for '08 and to issue a recall for all the rest of us
