can some1 help me make this work?.. the BOV doesnt do anything.. what is the screw on the back for?.. thanks..

what does it "not do?"

Revving an unloaded motor might not generate enough pressure and vacuum to pop it. What did you hook the reference hose too?The screw on the back is to tighten the spring up and make it harder to pop open.

See the nipple?

Hook a hose from that to your intake manifold. It feeds pressure to help the BOV stay shut under boost and when you get of the throttle it feeds manifold vacuum causing the valve to open or "blow off."Without the hose connected the valve won't work right.

pulled it off some ebay sale. I hate those things.

Directly underneath the throttle you will find a hose that originally led to the evap can. Not sure if you hooked that up when you put the motor in, but that is the best place. DO NOT tee of the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.

The nipple right under the throttlebody is good.

there is no available nipple under there.. everything is plugged in.. there is 1 that goes to the intake..

i just went for a test drive and my boost gauge does not read boost it stays at about 20 vacuum.. could i have mistaken the FPR for something similar back there?

You will have to T into it. You want the hose that goes from the throttlebody over to the evap can "purge".

ok i cannot say thanks enough for you guys taking the time to help me out.. i am a noob..

i have a hose that runs from the intake manifold to the intake itself.. can i just unplug it from the intake assembly and slip it on the nipple?

also i need some help with my boost gauge every1 says plug it into the FPR but there are to similar FPR looking things behind the intake manifold.. i seem to have plugged it into the wrong 1.. i will post pics later.. thanks again..

I believe you are seeing the diaphragm for the butterfly plates. The FPR is bolted directly to the fuel rail.

Avoid hooking up a boost gauge or blow off valve from your FPR vaccuum line.

Hopefully you've hooked up the hose close to the throttlebody. Remember it needs to be connected to the plenum, not the intake piping in front of the throttle body. Some of those throttle body vaccuum connections are questionable as to what side of the butterfly they are on.

The vacuum of the plenum (caused by a closed throttle) is what makes the BOV open F-A-S-T.. :-)

Yeah, something is definitely not happening correctly with your boost gauge. It's a boost and vacuum gauge, yet it only shows boost? Either you have a leak somewhere or your stuff is strange, man.
