so i took out the three "anti-skid" relays from under the hood, but my car still wont get sideways, i feel it cutting loose, but then it just straightens up like something is holding it back. i can drift pretty easily in the rain. is it because i dont have lsd? or is there something else making my 240 unable to spin out?

You don't need an LSD or Welded diff to drift but it helps...

It's either your driving... or I have once snapped my motor mounts causing the engine to flex to much and not break the tires lose.

Put the skirt in the trunk. No offense but your probably just getting nervous. Pop the clutch in second and let it eat.

lol. do exactly as 1KleenS13 says. just about anyone can do it in the rain i can. the tricky part is learning how to do it on the black top

You have two GOOD options.

1. Bring it to a parking lot event at a local TRACK. Clutch kick the f@ck out of it

2. Sell your car, buy a civic, put the biggest wing you can find on it.

idk if this will cause ur car to correct itself but check if you have a super HICAS model 240sx......... i know it interferes with drifting

DRIVER MOD!!!! NO JK. id come up to the corner in first at about 25-0 miles per hour (speed and gear is determined by size of corner) faint away from the corner then throw it back into it, pull the e-brake until you feel it comeing loose and getting sideways, (dont be afraid to really rip on it) when ur pulling the ebrake have the clutch in and gas in till about red line pop that s*** and counter stear, hold it for aslong as you can. and straighten out.

Also check your tire tread, if u have barley any it could cause the tire to just spin.

you dont nessicaraly have to have suspension and a locked diff of some sort but you would be surprised at the difference of handeling from coils and how amazing it feels when u get sideways with a diff.

i know when i put my coilovers on and a welded diff in it took me from blah to holy S***!!!! lol

just put your purse down bro!!

Open diff sends power to the wheel with the least amount of resistance. It won't matter if he's going left or right, the inside wheel will have the least load on it so it will spin.

OP: put your anti-skid relays back in, that's for ABS. Weld your diff and take it to the track.

Na not really. I got a HICAS model and it drifts just fine. And im assuming since you have HICAS you also have an lsd but i dunno for sure.

If you wanna disable the HICAS pump then just unplug it lol. Its under the car around the dif. It looks kinda like the brake master cylinder without the cup of fluids on top haha.

Good luck sir

yeah dude if you dont have an lsd then try left turns. i dont have my lsd on and when i try and rip it on right turns it grips like crazy. Please for the safety of everyone else do it on the track or in an empty parking lot. stay out of trouble

Or you could learn grip driving and have faster lap times... Then power slide the exits just to show them you don't need no traction on corner exit because you're THAT FAST. Or you could not do that and actually be fast for the whole lap.

But you're probably going to drift all over the place, be slow as balls, and install a giant crystal dildo shift knob in the car to complement the JDM tyte SR20 swap. God I f***ing hate people.
