I'm a firm believer (always have been) that information should be free. We're one of the LAST remaining big forums that's still privately-owned (corporately-owned forums start to suck pretty quickly). As such, our staffing is limited, so a lot of what we do comes down to TIME.
Of course, if someone wants to pony up a few bucks to help pay my $80/hour developer to hustle up on the custom search engine we're building, I won't turn it down.
Thanks for your loyalty... It means a ton to us, and it's probably the #1 reason we have no desire to "sell out".
We're ALWAYS open to suggestions, and we're probably running one of the most heavily-modified phpBB boards on the web... so, we can only expand to the limits of what the phpBB developers have created.
