hey so i'm building a 240 with a rb20 swap for my business partner, but all i've found to to really be simple on the 240 so far is coilover install(took 45min loved that...) we've finally outsourced to Mckinney motorsports for a new harness, which should solve are wiring issues from the originall pos harness the previrious owner built, next problem is we're looking to make some more power and i'm having trouble sourcing a ECU? any ideas?? we were planing AEM, but after talking to some noligable nissan AEM tuners they have warned there are alot of isssues with the rb20 making it run right and quickly getting a tune?? any thoughs ideas? also i cant find a decent intake manifold any sources?? thanks Wookiee

Have the stock ecu chipped by Carl H......easiest and safest way to tune an rb20.

were lookin for tuneability, so a chip isn't really the best option but might work depending on the price relibility and what all he could tune it for, i've never really been a big fan of chip because every car runs different and are usally detuned a bunch, any link or info on his chip tuning?? i think were doing AEM after talking to some more people this afternoon, i found a couple cool shops that are more fimalialr with nissans than i am that said they show me the rope with the nissan stuff, so this is lookin like a good ideas for the build plus to increase my knowledge of nissan tuning and the AEM unit...any other info insite??

I would go with an apexi power FC u can get one new on ebay for about 1300$ and u will be able to tune almost every aspect of the motor. If u do choose to chip, Carl Does know rb's extremly well and i would trust his chip tune.

How much HP are planing on making? 600+? If your not looking for more than 500 then stick with the Nistune board. It's a realtime programmable board not a chip burner. The Nistune setup is going to cost you around $420 NZ dollars for the board and software. Hope you have deep pockets because moding an RB gets expensive quick.
