bad used old calipers or the line itself is leaking. At the threads banged up?

Perhaps rebuild the rear calipers and replace the lines while your at it.

Can you tell where its leaking from? Did you install 2 new copper rings on the bolt that goes through the brake line to the caliper?

it looks as though its coming from the piston, but the bolt for the e-brake bracket is a little wet..its raining right now i can't tell for sure. i also didn't take it off yet as i was really frustrated..but no i used the old washers, could it just be those? maybe take the line off and clean them? yes the threads are all good on it.

well im just going to go buy reman calipers from Advance Auto...they are $150 for two and have a lifetime warranty on them..

but would pulling the e-brake up with no fluid in the calipers cause the piston to wear on that seal and possibly destroy it? im wondering because BOTH sides went out on me at once, and not the front ones..thanks.

I have had both rears go out. No warning. Just walked out to a puddle of fluid. Me thinks it may have to do with the constant pressure of the ebrake flexing the seals more than the fronts. Just get new ones and move on.
