That's funny you mention that. I had to take the Xterra I just bought back to the dealer to have them reset the airbag light for this exact reason. They pulled the seats out when they detailed the car.

Clelland, whatever the cause for the light you need to get it checked out and fixed.

My car did the same thing I just reset it and it was good. the sensor in your passenger seat that says if the air bg should go off or not is stuck a simple reset and you'll be golden. It happens when no one really rides in you passenger seat for a while.
