why does my 240 run like dog piss

so fresh built ka 5 speed swap using auto ecu i have deleted all of my egr nonsense and plugged all the vaccuum lines there are no intake leaks ive checked over and over again when i first fired it up it sounded like it had a wicked cam it didnt want to even idle...it reeked of fuel so i diconnected the the maf it idled PERFECTLY so i picked up a maf from a buddy it runs better i use that term lightly it has NO acceleration its going thru gas like crazy at 4 grand motor is screamin so loud sounds like its going to blow i checked the fuel pressure regulator the diaphram is not bad i just dont know why this thing is obviously getting weird signals from the maf a buddy said i should put a manual ecu on it but ive always heard there is no difference can some one please help

have u tried checking the wiring from the maf to the ecu, possible bad signal or ground

Did you time it? Or check codes?

i timed it correctly to 20degrees btdc did not check codes will check ecu swap it with a manual and check my maf wiring but i dont know why it would be bad the motor ran fine(besides the fact that it grenaded) before i rebuilt the motor

Bad sensor, piched wire, bad connection, bum motor. Check your work over and over, check codes, check engine health

You can still run codes on it. It is just going to throw a bunch of auto transmission related ones also. Keep in mind those most likely have nothing to do with your problem and tell us what the other ones are.
