Why does a G35 owner frequent the Altima Forum??

A General Discussion forum for Altima owners, and a great place to introduce yourself if you are new to the NICOclub Altima Forums!

I felt the need to post this - it has been asked a couple times before and I feel this is a good way to get this accross. It usually gets lost in the midst of someone taking personally a comment I'm making about a Car.

1. The NICO forums are for Nissan Infiniti Car Owners - We are alll welcome anywhere on the forum. Thanks to the forum Moderators for making the forum possible and allowing one common membership to all the sub forums on this site. (aren't some of you planning on going to a NICO event next month - will you be avoiding the other cars and focusing only on Altimas?)

There was a Nissan world before the Altima Coupe - So it makes no sense not to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge already here. Further to not acknowledge the relationship of the Altima to the Maxima, Z and G is shooting yourself in the foot. To not acknowledge the elements of the Z and G incorporated into/ shared with the Altima makes as much sense.

Poor Man's (insert G35, Z, Maxima) - is not a negative statement - it is common sense - all the cars referenced are positioned upmarket of the Altima - it means that you get a portion of the amenities/atributes of the higher end cars but at a lower price point. I didnt invent the term.

I really think that the Altima Sedan owners are less threatened by the relationship between the Altima, Max, G and Z. It is SOME coupe owners that are most vocal - I'm convinced a few don't even see the relationship between the coupe and the Sedan platform that served as the basis.

Most if not all of the mods desired for the Altima have already been done to all of the other cars mentioned - so it only makes sense to learn from others. Nissan doesnt think of radically different ways to build its cars so like most other brands there is a WHOLE lot of commonality beneath the cosmetics. You want to know what the next hot Altima mod will be - take a look at what's already been done for the other cars in the Nissan family.

2. The Altima forum has more traffic. I frequent the G35 and G37 sites as well (sometimes I peep in on the Z forum - but rarely). The G37 site is the slowest (traffic wise). I suspect that the average age has something to do with it - AC owners being the youngest and G35/G37 being the oldest on avg.

Most of the questions here are pretty generic so you don't even have to own a Nissan to answer them. Many questions are more specific to Nissan products - so anyone with a similiar nissan can respond to those. I've owned and maintained cars for over 16 years and currently own a Nissan with an Infiniti Badge. I see the moderators and other forum members pop in on other forums all the time. Again it is all NICO.

The Moderators have come to my defense on a thread or two here on this forum so I would think that would be the end of it but... I laugh to myself when I see AC owners that make negative (or sometimes positive) comments and I wonder how it would have been taken if I said that same thing. 3. I offer positive advice and tips. I did a lot of research on my car which I bought used from the other side of the country - since then I've personalized it - the same thing 99% of you have or want to do (minus the cross country trip of course).

Just because I sometimes express an opinion that some disagree with doesn't make a me a negative person. There are many disagreements on this forum now - and this is just between altima owners. What happens when an altima owner buys an infiniti or vice versa - will they be fully welcome on the Altima forum?

I've been called a jerk, assinine, not trust worthy etc. I would never call anyone a name on the internet that I wouldn't say in person. Plus - we are talking about cars - it shouldn't be personal. None of you on this forum can quote any one time that I ever made a personal attack. None of you can quote when I made a statement that is either untrue or at the least a valid statement.

I've been called a troll - a true troll offers nothing and would never offer to make himself available in person.

Good Luck.

I always figured you were jealous of the A/C owners!!

Seriously, every post I've read by you has been nothing but helpful. I don't know why anyone would give you grief. Maybe the A/C owners that wanted a G but couldn't have one for one reason or another?

Cali 2 Balti G,

You should know the #1 of internet forums: don't take anything anyone tells you to heart. You always respond to personal attacks and comments and I always wonder why you do that... If I were in your shoes, I would just ignore them and move on. Just try to make a positive, honest contribution to this forum (which you often do) and that should suffice. You're not here to prove anything to anyone and you're certainly not here to please anyone. Just keep on contributing and it should be cool. But don't leave the guys over at the G forum hanging...drop in there from time to time as well.

I don't own a A/C but probably 95% of my posts are in A/C area. The A/C is just more lively and the people are just more fun in general. The M fourm is Dead, and they all old people/ or with the older 03-05 talking about putting 22" rims so it's boring. the M is just a fat *** 4 door altima, so technically i have a altima

Interesting observation. The Altima forum does have many young people.

And after all of that, you are still not invited to the gettogether...LOL

Folks aint even trippin on you no more homie, and the fact that you put this up after we supposedly had squashed everything makes it all the more comical. You attempted to invite yourself somewhere, and then started whining like a lil' girl when the folks said you couldn't come. That's crazy to me. As I said before, there is abosolutely NOTHING that you can teach me about MY Altima coupe PERIOD. Lurk all the forums you want. Enjoy! But when you come on the A/C/S forum beefing with multiple people, you really need to check why multiple people have a problem with you. And that goes for anyone else on the forum that get into it with MULTIPLE people. It's not on everyone else, it's on YOU!!!

Oh and you keep talking about saying stuff in person, dude, trust me, you don't want to see my goons in person! And that's not a threat so don't start wetting your pants! But real talk, the shooters that I know in Baltimore don't ask questions, they don't make conversation, and they don't make threats, if you see them, it's too late homie! So just be easy, like I said before and dead this nonsense!

Cali is good people. I just like sparing with him from time to time. There's no love lost on my side; based on his online attitude, I've always assumed the same about him.

He's just got a 'tude.....nothing wrong with that! I still appreciate 97.779% of his input.

I was perturbed when Cali called me out for posting a thread about help with fog lights...after I was joking on myself. Still, I didn't lose any sleep over it.

rjdmmfl1: chill out mang!!!

rjdmmfl1:Again, sarcasm is lost online. I assume you were ripping Cali with your Baltimore homie jive. If you weren't joking, then I'm sorry. Please don't send your goons to WY to break my legs. I don't want to wake up next to a horses head.

did that sound like a rap? Did any part of it rhyme? I don't think so! But dude keeps bringing this stuff up, and its ridiculous. I think he just likes attention and the folks in the G forums have booted his a** out of there, so he comes here.

And its not about chilling out, buddy keep saying stuff like say it in person, say it to my face. That's the wrong thing to say to anyone online. People are psycho nowadays (not me) and asking for something like that, you just might get it. He lives In Bmore right now, my old stomping grounds. All I;m saying to him, for his health and safety, is that making challenges like that on the net nowadays can get you f***ed up! I'm actually a mellow dude, which is why I tried to dead stuff with this character earlier. But my bmore goons are not mellow. One phone call homie, that's it!

Dude's obviously not from the hood, or he would know better.

This is a community, we all share this space to exchange information and chat it up. I don't care what car you own or what forum you frequent, your welcome anywhere.

Unfortunately we meet people that don't mesh well with our own personality, its just like in person. The best thing to do is to move on and act mature about it. Hey, I don't agree with everything people say here.

Robert man, I know your probably joking but lets not take it too far I know you mean well.

Tyler, I deaded this s*it last week. Check the thread! So to post this now just seems like he's trying to rev sh*t up again! I really think he needs some frieds, a hug, or something! You guys can baby his a** and coddle him, and make him feel welcomed all you want. Hell at this point, I'll even give him the address when we meet up in Bmore and I GUARANTEE he won't show up!!!

These threads get funnier by the post. It seems like every thread starts out with 2 or 3 posts actually related to the original topic, and then it turns into bickering and arguing. I know, I've actually participated in a few. Tyler, there must be a way to organize this and mod it so we delete unnecessary posts. This is just getting out of hand. It is also probably discouraging potential visitors who actually want to visit NICO for information and fun.

Dude!! Let this die!! If you "deaded" this last week don't respond now! Be a bigger man and keep your mouth shut! I'm speaking from experience: you only end up looking like a fool.

You are doing nothing but propagating stereotypes with the standard "wait till I call my homies......" line.

At least I'm honest enough to admit that I've participated in those threads. But that's the end of that. I'm out from now on. No more wasting my time on these useless arguments.

And to note another point, I'm not anti-mcheddadi. I'm just anti his continuous rants about Altimas, 0-60 speeds, turbos, and proclamations of power. I understand that the guy love his car and think that it has potential. But someone needs to tell him that the Altima is NOT a true racing car and that while 448hp in the FWD Altima may seem cool, it simply is not practical. That being said, I'm out.

Homie, i could care less about propagating stereotypes! I graduated summa cum laude and am enrolled in a dual degree MD/PhD program at johns Hopkins, you think I care about stereotypes???? And yes it could be done , but I didn't say I'm calling anyone, I said that if he continues to call folks out on the net, hiding behind his screen name he's gonna get f*cked up one day! I've got way to much to lose f*cking around with this Cali dude! I'm still from the hood homie, all day! And I can be professional when I need to be, but buddy needs to learn to just be easy! I'm not gonna touch him, but someone's gonna shut his loud a** mouth up one day! I'm out!

I can agree Cali literally ASKED for it by creating this thread BUT it was something that he felt he needed to say. I don't care what forum we all post in, your all welcome IMO. I'm not coddling him as you suggested. The two of you have had some differences for some reason or another. I don't care why, it just needs to stop. This feels like a schoolyard where we are across the court from eachother.

I see no reason to keep this thread open any longer. Our thoughts have already been expressed. Email me if you have anything you need to tell me.
