I bought my 96 SE to sell for profit. I drove it for about a day and I fell in love with the car. Needless to say, I'm keeping it and have bought another since.

I have a heavily modded 350Z, My cousin has a TT 350Z. Well to build a motor on a Z u need 15K to be makin what i would call some good power, and u still wont be that fast cause its a heavy car. The 240 on the other hand. Is an amazing lookin peace of machine, U can mod the hell out of it, its light, u can do many different setups to the motor and what not. Pretty much with a 240 THE SKY IS THE LIMIT and did i mention that it looks EVIL

cause it was $500 at a car auction. i wanted a older 300z but couldnt find one at a good price. but is all in the nissan family. plus WAY better then my p.o.s. plymouth sundance.

didnt know its potential until nico. now i have a car that is reasonably fast that can be made faster reasonably easy.

plus it can get sideways, cant say that about a sundance.

definitely because of its potential. That there was so many different paths you could go with engines and looks. once i got it, it was a match made in heaven. also happen to be my 1st RWD and i love it.

Rear Wheel Drive, 50/50-ish weight ratio (not quite sure for my old vert), beats out the styling for any car in its class around its year, rare (especially here and St. Louis), fairly reliable, and has so much after market support. You can modify the look of the car while maintaining class and not looking tacky because of the amount of lines you have to work with.

It turned heads...

It turned circles...

List could go on and on...

I miss that car...

Everyone has said mine but..

- Good gas mileage- RWD- Awesome body lines (turns heads all day)- TONS of after market support- Handles like a champ when it's stock- Drifting (or insert any other motorsport..)- Easy to work on

I got my 240sx because i was looking for a practical RWD sports car... I like nissan, the truck motors run forever if they're taken care of.

And as for potential, i think the 240sx is a great platform for modifcation.

It's been my dream car ever since junior year of high school when my cousin mentioned it. I looked around, saw the kouki body style, and since then there was no turning back. I finally got the kouki of my dreams last week, and it was definitely worth the wait. I love it because it has such a rich Japanese history and because it's so rare. It's unique, and it's the only car I've had emotions for (I love my baby..) Basically there's nothing else like my 240.

BIG engine bay can fit anything v8 like no problem.

strong axles how often do you hear hondas axles blow up.

transmission can hold a fair amount of power. how often do you hear honda trans screwing up after more torque?

4 wheel disc brakes (many take that for granted but for cars with drums in the back they spend a fortune to upgrade to reg discs.

fair looking interior compared to box stuff from cars of similar style (supra/rx7 etc)

fairly reliable compared to other cars in its class

4 lug in some -_- 5 lug on others ^_^

dangerous to drive in snow/wet conditions with stock all seasons in 195...

stock is slower than camry... and any volvo or most crappy car i can think of... 15s/16s in a 1/4 mi is near civic dx range no joke. 14s is considered a low end sports car, 13 is good

other than that its all preference in terms of looks or whatever if you like it you like it. i think it looks decent not hot not crappy. with a big body kit big wheels big paint big drop it looks pretty good. but the amount of money for that may or may not be worth it... 10k~+

-always thought the lines were soo sexy on a hatch

-have followed and researched them for the last 2-3 years

-riding in an sr powered one sealed the deal

-rwd import, reliable, great gas milege, inexpensive to maintain, luxury mid-ranged sports car in its day, and total sleepers with some of the engine you can put into that nice large engine bay

-that and i finally found a very nice one when i moved here that wasn't the same price as a half stripped down, weathered paint, with coffee can muffler

Six years ago I totaled my clean 91 crx si (I loved that car) and was looking for a new car. I always liked the way S14s looked ,but knew nothing about them. Did some research and to my surprise I found out it was RWD and not to heavy on top of being japanese and inexpensive. I was sold.

For the last probley 6 years of my life I've been a hardcore honda guy. After my integra type-r powered civic, i relized that n/a hondas and fwd just werent for me anymore. My friend had just sold his 03 spec v and by this point had 10 grand into a s13, he walked an sti for a joke about a week after getting his sr up and running, at this point it was still running like **** but it showed me the true potential that was there. So I got rid of the civic, found a good deal on my zenki, bought it to see if the grass really was greener on the other side, and I've loved it ever since. Turbo+rwd=wayyy more fun then you can have in a n/a fwd I dont care what you say.

Potentials but mostly because my grandpa always wanted a 180sx/240sx so Im carrying on his will (even though his alive, he just buys new expensive cars and collects them). And honestly, I didnt know about drifting and 240sx being perfect canidates after buying my 240sx and finding nico.

Way back in the day, (as in 14 or 15) i was big into american muscle. I slowly grew to like supras, but saw the price and said no. Still had an intrest in them, because they were rear wheel driven. Well, at 16, i was bought my first car, 1996 240SX. Honestly, I didn't like it to much when i first had it - because at that time, i was into 300ZX's. Slowly but surely (thanks to all the great people on NICO) I learned all kinds of things about these cars - the rareness (is that a word?), the potential, and well. . . That every 240, primered or not, is the sex LOL. Now at 18, I'm still just as into the cars as i was when i first saw them. I've also grown a huge responsibilty with the car.

my uncle was the first owner of my s13 (i'm the 2nd). i remember when i was younger, i always saw him drive the car with a chick in the passenger side, and he would always come home with a new chick. i was like "zomg, i wanna pick up chicks y0!" (no, really, i did ). eventually, he got one of the chicks pregnant, and about 6 years, one wedding, and 5 kids later, he was forced to sell it, so i bought with the same mentality i had when i was younger, thinking i can pick up some chicks , not knowing jack sh*t about cars (wtf is a 240sx?).

later did i find out that you have to be good looking to pick up chicks

luckily, i found out the term "rice" and realized that the stickers, foglights, and ghetto suspension it came with wasnt cutting it, so i found online forums to help me out.

fell in love with its potential, its looks, and how it WASN'T so common back a few years ago. loved the motor, and of course its ability to attract a females attention...even though i look right past girls that are like.."i love your car!" "we should hang out sometime!"...i'm always like...ahhh...na. unless of course they're smokin hot then maybe i'll take them out and let them pay for dinner.

i like the lightweight, rear drive, and near 50/50 weight distribution.i was really big into z28 camaros before i picked up my 240 (damn near bought a few). but i decided that the 240 would handle better and i'd be less prone to hurting myself. i was coming from a cavalier at the time and thought it may be a bad idea to jump into such a more powerfull car. (the z28). now i'm thinking about dropping in an LS1 into the 240! (i have a much better feel for a more powerful car now). also i own a 350+ hp/ 400+ ft silverado and i know i can handle more!looks didn't hurt either, especially on the coupe!!!
