Why do the Candians have more Voice Command Options?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

So I am finally trying to get through the NAVI section and am tackling voice commands.

I see on Pages 4-104 though 4-127 what is available to people in the US.

But then I read the Canadian section 4-128 through 4-141, and so many more commands are available. Sheesh you Candian can even pick out the song on the various Audio options and set the desired cabin temperature.

Am I reading this right? if so....Whaaaa!!! No fair, we should all have access to the same voice commands. I cannot imagine the Laws and Regulations would make Infiniti pick and choose what is available in each country.

Well, given that MSRP is $8 K to $10 K more in Canada and we don't EVER even get near invoice price no matter how much we negotiate, much less $8 K off the already lower list price (as was recently reported on this forum), it's about time we got something of a bonus feature for all that extra coin!!

Cheers,David

it is pretty ridiculous, especially considering older US Infinitis have the extra commands.

We started a discussion on this very issue several months ago in the Murano Forum. Check it out here:

It's because the U.S. makes it very easy and profitable for people to sue others for their own stupidity. As a result, Infiniti has to disable features in the U.S. to cover their backs from people looking to cash in with a law suit.

The woman burning her labia majora with McD's coffee comes to mind.

i had a lot of those voice command features in my TL. They were nice when you wanted to impress someone, but for everyday daily use, i would push the buttons myself.

I must admit, I find myself doing the same thing, using the buttons instead of the voice commands.
