Simple logic... They are in a forum where hundreds, if not thousands of individuals have the same car as them. Such a concentrated base of those that have the same wants and desires for their vehicles... Its like jumping into a pool full of sharks rather than taking a chance out in the open ocean.Victor wrote:After all hundreds or thousands of people see your license plate number everyday while you are driving on the road or parked. Only thing I can think of is someone is after you or you were involved in a hit and run or you have something to hide. What other reasons are there?
Not to seem rude, but you guys are green. Sure a Q is nothing. But Some folks own 1 to2 million $ cars. I have friends who have lost numerous high end rides. It's done inside the dmv. They go right to your garage based on info pulled from the dmv files. Trust me they see a car, they will get it. My neighbor lost two mb's in one night. They took them out of his garage while his family slept. They got the info from the state computers on the inside, where he lives and all. Talk to Chuck at Revelco. He has numerous stories. But our cars are chump!elwesso wrote:I still think its stupid... Chances are people know where you live (or at least a city). if they were really that determined it probably wouldnt be that hard to find your car without knowing the license plate number...
I'd make a bet that most of those blocking the images live in a major city and those thinking it's stupid do not. Environment shapes mentality, especially when you've had bad experiences. I grew up in NYC and now ATL so I'm not as trusting of human nature. Oops...did I say too much?paranoidjack wrote:Despite seeing otherwise every day, I still choose to think humanity is not as evil as it obviously is.
For such occasions of being proven wrong, I keep Smith, Wesson, and my dogs close by.
Nobody's getting into, or near, my house with 300lbs of dog standing watch. The only green thing is their face when my mastiff and weimaraner run at them!Trumpkin wrote:Not to seem rude, but you guys are green. Sure a Q is nothing. But Some folks own 1 to2 million $ cars.
