Why Do people think they are cooler when they drink from Star Buck Coffee!

I just came from my collage break room, there is a Coin Coffee Mechine in the room. This guy holds a Star Buck Coffee cup that he bring in every morning (I can tell its the same one since its has stains in it and looks petty used inside), and buys coffee out of the mechine (I was thinking he ran out of coffee and just buying some more out of the mechine). But When I was about to leave I Over hear him saying yeah I just got some coffee from Star Bucks to his friends that just came into the room. (They were not in the room when he was buying coffee out of the Mechine)

Me and my friends just started to crack up as soon as he said that! I don't understand why would someone think a $2 coffee would make them look cool?

On a serious note: I'm freaking addicted to starbucks, but thats cause my sister's worked there for the past few years and always hooked me up. Now that she lives further away (far enough for me not to want to drive there), I only treat myself to starbucks once or twice a week. Chai latte forever. Also, I tend to alternate between starbucks and bubble tea.

Anyway, the kid that fills his starbucks cup with regular coffee is a dousche. He probably takes it home everynight and washes it out for the next day.

Don't get me wrong I love star buck coffee. but I would not go as far as buying some other coffee to put it in a S/B cup!

To be honest dude, Repoman typically gets his Starbucks for free. He just puts it in an AVI cup so that he can be as cool as you. And a word to the wise, I wouldnt tell him to **** off. Trust me dude. Trust me.

Getting back to the topic at hand. I do not understand most of what society covets as "cool" and "trendy." I drink Starbucks coffee (buy it by the bag and brew it myself) because the free stuff at work tastes horrible. I can relate, I dont see the need to mis-represent the coffe that I buy/drink.bud

yea, i agree... my buddy was makin fun of me last time i saw him cause starbucks is a sponsor of PITT U, and up here at Penn State we have "Seattles Best"... i could really care less, but i do like starbucks... i only drink coffie when i need to stay awake (caffine is a undergrads best friend)

Starbucks is overrated, the coffee machine in my office is better than Starbucks (granted, it is like a $5k coffee machine). The only thing I get at Starbucks are:

-Chocolate covered graham crackers (teh rule!)

-Those little canned "doubleshot" things that are chilled. I generally take two to the brain within about 10 minutes of getting off work on Fri nights, so I can stay up and party.

Hey, I just noticed something.. The Name StarBucks has the would Bucks in it. Maybe that's an indication that you should be rich if you drink there. Hence the name StarBucks. Make sense?

Hey, did you guys know that they have this really nice tasting Cappachino at most gas stations? And it only costs $1 !. That's freaking awesome. And it has ALOT more flavor then the crap that you get from StarBucks.

I used to drink that sh*t too, then I found out how much crap they load that stuff with. The reason they can sell a large cup so cheap is because the coffee beans they use have had their natural oils extracted (most valuable part), and replaced with tons of low quality, fattening flavored oil. You'd be surprised how little coffee you're actually getting in those drinks.

Also, Starbucks uses a much higher quality and natural coffee bean, if that's any justification for their price difference compared to competitors.

Folgers is cheap -- buy it in a huge can at Sam's Club. Starbucks is a nice place to sit, the coffee is good, and if it was 1/3 the price I might actually buy something there.

If you have expelled caffienated carboniated drinks out of your diet, then I think by the same token you should expell all caffienated drinks. If you need a quick pick me up then drinking juice can help, it is typically high in glucose and in high water concentrations.

The only thing I get from StarbuckSSS is Carmel Apple Cider (hot of course), and Iced Tazo Passion blend tea (sweetened). I think the best coffee to be had is the kind from your own house...plus I can't fn stand half n' half!!!!!
