why do people demand you showoff?

i'm a showoff at heart, so i never mind when people want me to show them what's up

It's very annoying. My car doesn't attract attention on the street, so it's not an issue there. But when I roll around the street racing areas at 3am - everyone knows who it is. I am constantly begged to "get on it" etc... I usually roll away like normal, 10% throttle and shifting at 2500rpm.. no BOV. All they get is to hear the turbo spoool. :p
