Yeahh bought a set of 9:1 KA24DE wisecos, opened but never used, part number is k586m895 which is listed as for the 95-98 KA24De .5mm over....but it has FWD etched in the cylinder face for some reason. Anyone know why? More specifically, if there is any perticular reason, is it going to impede me putting them in my SOHC as planned (yes im aware the compression drops to 8:1.)

is it stamped toward a outer edge of the piston? Most pistons have a mark indicating which side faces the "front" of the block, because you can get the pistons on the rod wrong believe it or not. but it seems they would have marked them "FRT" instead of "FWD" i would just E-mail wiseco and ask their Tech support.

Just guessing here, but I'd imagine the FWD is for "forward", as in facing towards the front of engine.

they all say FWD, all in the same location close to a dimple on the perimeter on the face where it becomes flat (As apposed to dished.)

Off topic, but where did you get your wisecos for, and how much, and what kind of rings did you get with them? reading wiseco's website, there's apparently different rings offered for the same pistons...
