did u reset the ecm???? to be simple.... its in retarded mode so u dont kill it!!! it is smart enough to know to save itself, & also 15 miles isnt long enough...... so pull the ecm fuse(s) for awhile...then see waht happens. it can relearn that its not dead & can advance timing to where it belongs or better . u probably didnt but do that & drive it like u stole it... it will make a difference..... as long as everything else is working correctly.

Faulty defective knock sensors WILL NEVER CAUSE the engine lamp to illuminate, it just silently stores a fault code in ECU.
iwill have to disagree with u on that, older non OBD2 yes, new no. it is a emissions problem for those that have tests 7 without test, still if i doesnt bring it on the light it still has a code & its a expensive fix to make EPA happy...... to epa measures it has not finished drive cycle &or light on... will fail test. & more then not, i have cleared codes on many nissan & gm trucks for knock codes, which are common & they still, light comeback on right away
& how did we get from the oem subject thread at hand to this...... mine at 175k is clean.
i would use BG products only...... not to sell, they actually work!!! just not for anything else find a good shop that does FI services... intake clean, injector, & intank stuff. this all cleans everything top of pistons, ect. the shot so to speak.
i wont start with the others of the GM & Dodge topic.....another thread plz
