I was looking up Mercedes Benz hidden wipers. (Some body kit manufacture in Japan has a piece for the Q...). Anyways that led me to rain sensing wipers (Auto wipers). The first Nissan to have them (As Far As I know-AFAIK) is the Nissan 200SX (S12).

The rain sensing wipers work on the S12 by sensing the vibrations on the hood of the vehicle (Like a Knock Sensor). The more vibrations that are felt the faster the wipers move...

This system is very simple in design but is hard to install.

The S12 has a key pad for keyless entry (the 1992*-1996 Q45 have remote keyless entry).

The S12 has a voice system** but the Q has a LED display that lets the driver know the same things and a little more...

*1992-1993 Q45's can use the J30 keyless entry.
**I made a topic about the voice system but that seems like over kill to implement, Unless I use the screen for another idea I have....

The Q was meant to be a drivers car uncluttered with lots of buttons and toys, and purposely did not have alot of the unnecessary gadgets other nissan cars had at the time or even earlier. My 200sx, 280zx, and 300zx{all older than the Q design} all had tons of little electronic gadgets that were deemed unnecessary and unwanted on the Q- if you look back at Infinitis design goals and marketing for the Q, they even mention this intention to not junk it up with gadgets {look in the big Q coffee table book for reference to this}. notice they even went with a metal sunroof, while lesser nissan products got the glass moonroof.

one "gadget" that all my previous nissan products had, that they SHOULD have kept for the Q was a low coolant level warning built into the Q warning display LCD.

What you just said actually makes me feel like an a** for all that I have put into my Q in the name of luxury.

But you are right about having a "Low Coolant" message on the Diagnostic display area.

why? its your car,do what you want to customize to your taste and needs.Certainly nissan did not hit the nail on the head with the q design and execution,or it would have been a bigger player in the market and maybe even still be around today.
