Why did the eliminate HICAS?

Why did the eliminate HICAS from the J30t's? And what year was it, 1995?

I've heard that it was problematic and heavy, but people who had it seem to have valued it.

Got 97 j30t and wish I had some HICAS.

But meanwhile I am loving the rear wheel drive.

The HICAS was available in 1993 and 1994 "t" models.

It is actually a quite reliable. system

Nissan killed it because the "t' package with HICAS sold in very, very low numbers and it added cost to the production of J's.

J30t's with HICAS are somewhat rare.

Yeah, They discontinued hicas after 94 on I think all of nissan... I cant really say I notice a huge difference in what it does...
