I was stopped at a red light with my window open and I saw this black trans am with loud exhaust. It was idling and I could still hear the roar... He makes a left turn towards me and then he sees me then he slams on the gas... I hear the whinning and WWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAA he flies by me... he mustve been running a straight pipe or something because it made my left ear deaf... like literally.. Its been 3 hours and i still have this ringing noise in my ear...

Some people.... should be more considerate...

I've never seen/heard about any domestic getting pulled over for a loud exhaust.

happened to me with my iroc, no cat and borla exhaust... well I got stopped at a check point and they just decided to give me a ticket for that ~_~

those mustang etc. with the loud exhaust will never get pull over by law enforcement.instead all import car that just apprently "doesnt look rite" or "a bit louder than normal" will always get ticket.i hope im right.

well, you have to look at it from a policeman's point of view. most of the police here are middle-aged, white men, so they (generally) have a lot of <3 for those types of muscle cars. my friend in his raised ford ranger got pulled over once, and the police officer bantered with him for about 10 minutes about the best way to fabricate a spindle lift -__- he's also running no cat, with a flowmaster exhaust. no front plates, either.

oh well.

sounds like it was one of those whistle tips a piece of metal rectangular in shape with a circle cutoutout in it wielded into the exhaust for the sole reason of making a loud noise.
