Why couldn't the grill be all chrome?

I think Nissan cheaped out with the body-colored grill

Here is a little photoshopped pic with a chrome grill. Big improvement in my opinion. Does anyone know if it would be difficult to mask out the grill and paint it with chrome paint? (since it's part of the bumper and can't be removed)

I would also like chrome door handles and window trim...

Difficult yes but it can be done. It does look good in the picture.

Me like shiny things

The #1 thing I like about the Rogue vs the Murano is the fact that it doesn't have a big chrome smiley face on the front. Personally I love the color keyed grille, and probably would have paid extra for it over the chrome grille that the Murano has.

IMO the door handles and window trim are a bit much. I usually don't like much (if any) chrome on most cars nowadays. So why the huge chrome centerpiece in the grille? It's like a flashing Nissan sign. All chrome at least looks more uniform but how about continuing the body color theme and lose the third eye?

I'm with this guy. I think too much chrome makes it look kinda...tacky.

That actually looks pretty good with a white rogue. I think it's just a matter of time before there are some after-market accessories for the rogue to dress things up a little bit, like there are for other vehicles:

I would like some xenon head-lights too. Maybe the reason I want the chrome and xenon is that I'm coming off an 04 Murano SE AWD lease and considering purchasing the Rogue. I've always liked the Murano styling and the Rogue is very similar. I like the fuel efficiency and handling for the Rogue and can live with a few less perks

In my opinion, it would look more like a midget Murano, I think the designers wanted to avoid that and give the Rogue a distinct appearance. Although, I do like the chrome grille, especially since I bought a black one.

I would like to color match mine to the silver in the wheels. I think that would set off all of the black on the front. Not sure if my wife would like that though, since it is hers.

Ya gotta remember, the Rogues price point. It still amazes me the price these things are selling for, but once you get it, you start to see all the cost cutting. Here and there adds up and chroming the grill saved them a bit too.

I really liked the look of the chrome-free grill & couldn't understand why so many wanted to 'bling' it up. Didn't care for the photo-shopped pic at the top of this post, either. Until this morning, that is. Wow, WHAT was I thinking!?! I've gotta have that grill! Thanks for sharing the link - off to place my order now ...

These only take 2 days to get in, they are just a new item. Ill be stocking them once they arrive. Those that ordered already should be seeing yours shortly. Ill take a pic of the grill by itself once I get those in.

Thanks for the orders, guys!

Also, if there are other OEM items you would like me to list on the website just email me and Ill add it up there for you. Thanks again!

Very Nice! How do they attach? 3M Tape or do you need to drill holes to hold them?

Yeah 3M double sided tape appears to be attached to them.

I was hoping the grill pieces would not use 3M tape. Right now, I have the rear bumper guard, the painted molding pieces for side protection and the soon to arrive grill pieces all waiting for 60 degree weather. Last night it was 10 below. Tonight it will be 6 below. Even with my attached garage I figure it'll be mid July before I have the Rogue all tricked out!

Hey guys, somebody just pointed me here, those new grill pieces are the bomb, I luv em! If a deal can be made on my Murano trade, I will have to have these for my new ride!

Guess the web site needs updating...
