91 sr20det red top 90kmsact street/strip3" dp3" test pipe3.5" exhaustgreddy profect B set to 10psistock side mountVLSDtires at 35psi

before I had 205/55/15 dunlop fm901 (brand new) and couldn't get traction. now I just bought 225/45/16 yoko es100 on some 16x8 wheels for the rear and they still spin like crazy in the rear.I have to give part throttle in 1st and 2nd gear??!! just to put the power down.

what is going on here? I'm maybe pushing 200-210whp tops. it feels like I'm driving in the rain!

You should be slipping the clutch on launch in first. Are you speed shifting 2nd?? If your shifting normal into 2nd you should only get minimal wheel spin. What tire pressure are you running, what suspension??

I shift quickly but I don't power shift

its not when I first start out ... I slip the clutch but by 6000rpm the tires break free and start spinning

I'm running 35psi. kyb agx and eibach sporline

I am putting down 252lb/ft and don't have a problem with traction. It sounds like your VLSD is dead and you are peg-leggin' it

Is it cold where you're at? When its cold out traction can be an issue if I am not gentle

your tires are cold and hard on a cold road. You will not have traction! It doesn't help that when it's that cold out the SR runs like a scolded pig

Your tire pressure is kinda high, try lowering down the pressure.

definitely lower the tire pressure, i run at like 25 psi-29psi...also do longer burnouts...wait are we talking drag strip or regular driving...

Street tires have more traction when they are cold. Doing a burnout on street tires makes them loose traction.

I think the deal is that the motors LOVE cold weather. You are probilby making 15-20 more horses at that temp then you would be at 90 degrees F.
