Desert Platinum - sometimes it looks it looks like the silver that everyone and their mother has, sometimes it looks like the grey that everyone besides everyone and their mother has, sometimes it looks like serengeti sand. It has a very nice irridescent effect.

There's only one color that's FAIL on the G in my book, and that's Caribbean Blue.

Sorry CB guys, but it looks like a cheap Maaco paint job on a lowrider.

it is clearly not the king. OB has been played out, just like DG. Everyone and their mom has them. For me, silver, white, and AB are the cleanest looks for the G.

that athens is a very clean color..

but to say obsidian black is played out is wrong.. i see G's all over the place in the bay area.. and black is pretty rare surprisingly

i like your sig, but sadly, still played out. i didnt say it couldnt look clean. My issue is that everywhere you go, what do you see? OB and DG G35 coupes. hell, the dealer here only stocks those colors. While they are nice and all, They hide the curves of the car. Would you like Jessica Rabbit if she was wearing a black dress? Or one where she is wearing a hot sexy red dress? I think i know what you are going to say...

for you youngins, i give you Jessica Rabbit

Black is pretty rare.

Then again, I own the most common G - Diamond Graphite.

i agree the darker colors tend to hide the curves of the G.. but when i was at the dealer the other day.. the obsidian black (sedan) just looked MEAN.. it HAS to have the 18 wheels too.. the 17's just don't cut it

the only colors i can see myself getting are the lakeshore slate, blue slate, and/or black obsidian

the sedan in black is mean, esp if you could black out the headlight housings. BUT, having owned a few dark color cars, after time, they get so gross, the car just looks janky. Too many people have black cars, not nearly enough of them care about their cars. Nothing bothers me more than dirty cars, and Black is the dirties of them all.

When I ordered my G37S, there were no examples of Athens Blue to look at. I was worried that it might be a gaudy, electric blue. To be safe, I ordered my second choice, Blue Slate.

I needn't have worried since Athens Blue turned out to be very nice. On the other hand, I get plenty of compliments about my Blue Slate car. The most recent was from the owner of a BMW 745.

the tan interior is just wrong. sports cars shoud never have a non-black steering wheel. NEVER. Its in the rule book. I checked.

Cmon saying OB is played out is like saying beautiful and drunk women in vegas is played out. Sure there maybe a lot of them, but that doesn't make you wanna have one any less. OB is just a clean, classic, sexy look. Can't go wrong imo

its clean if the car is well maintained. otherwise, it looks like a 88 chevette that has been wiped down with sandpaper. I hate swirly black. Other colors hide those issues better.

Hello,Amen to that. I am pretty sure my 2004 M45 Desert Platinum is the only one on the board. What color is the interior in your G? I really like the color. It was only available on M's in 2004. I think Q45's were finished in it as well. Really rare color.Cheers,Mark

I agree paint swirls ruin cars all day long. It hurts seeing a nice car, that's washed and waxed and BAM the paint just slaps you in the face with swirls.

The first G i ever drove was a Caribbean Blue....somebody at school let me drive it sorta randomly. But where's the love for white?! I didn't see any mention of it till i was practically at the end of the thread!

Here, we ALMOST bought a low mileage WHITE 04. I wasn't crazy about it cause I wanted dark blue or black, but the wifie was in love with it.Went back to the dealer to check it again just in time to see the new owner drive off the lot with it... Like I said, I wanted a dark car since I would be driving it the most, BUT, as all married men know that want to stay married, marriage is all about compromises.....

Anyway, Helio, here's a pick of the dark blue (Twilight blue).Got a new camera and still trying to get it to obey me!!! At times, it looks to be black.....Just noticed when taking pics that there is dust on it!!! must go clean it!!!

Grant, you have been away!!! The cobra is FUR SAIL TOO!!!
