Why are so many '94 Vh45de

why are so many '94 vh45de being used?I know about the timing chain guides.compression ratio is higher,valves, injectors are different....am I missing something

94-95 were higher-production years for the Q45, so they're plentiful, they have the good chain guides, and they're not as emissions-hampered as the 96 VH.

No difference in comp ratio AFAIK.

i think the main reason is that the guides didnt take out a number of otherwise good engines, and also people would probably be more likely to part out 90-93 engines with bad guides, bad injectors, and whatever else...

the 94 is every bit as good of a motor, it may not have all the super exotic stuff but I dont think those features really do much in the long run.
