Why are our S13s so easy to break into?

Everyone knows any monkey with a wire hanger can get our doors open by fishing around a bit. On the S13s atleast, I have no idea about S14s.

So I was wondering, how can we protect the door guts from being so easily popped? Is there a spot to tack-weld or rivet, f*ck even some Krazy glue, a piece of aluminum to keep a theif's tools from opening my door so damn fast?

Now I understand if someone's really trying to get into my car breaking a window is their best bet, but in some situations they can't pull some ish like that off without risking getting caught, so if a block off plate for the door internals could be added, it could majorly cut down on break in's into our precious rides.

Is this out of the question or has anyone heard of something like this? I've never actually taken my door panel off and haven't seen any door skeletons in person so I have no clue if the idea is possible or not.

If you want, I could take a look at mine and see what could be done and email you(No need for you to take off your panels for nothing.) My car is gutted... so it is np for me to take a look. But like you said before, they could break your window ne way. All it takes is a bit of porcelian and you have a silent window smash it takes less than 2min to take the radio and anything else wanted out of the car. I dont know about you, but if someone was determined to get into my car...please jimmy the lock and dont break my window.....like they say "Locks are to keep honest people honest."

I agree...I'd rather have them open the door instead of smashing my window. Hopefully no one will want to get into my car.

s14 are just as easy to get into. ive never stolen a car but ive definitely been in enough 240's to know how easy it is. an alarm is always an option. the secret is to put the horn in a secret place where the intruder cant get to.

yup s13 and s14 they are both very easy to get to.. Get a loud *** alarm I have siren, stock horn, air horn all going off at once... kind of hard to ignore it. Also its nice to have an ignition kill as well.
