Why are B16s so cheap?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I've been searching AutoTrader and Craigslist, and have found Sentras to have probably the worst resale value of any car that I've seen. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but regardless, people can't give the damn things away.

I've been keeping my eyes out for a B16 SE-R with low miles because my I35 is lousy on gas and I don't want to trade into anything too abysmally slow.

Any thoughts or advice on the subject?

I will give this subject a spin. 1 reason why there are a lot of B-16 For Sale B/C maybe it has something to do with the recession that we live in today. Here is a fact that I have read in the newspaper 9/18/09 That 61% of people that live from Pay check to pay check and last year it was 49% and in 2007 in was down to 43% of people that lived from pay check to pay check. So, that being said people just can't afford a "New" car payment. It's coming down to you either you have a roof over your head or a "new" car w/payments. But other than that I have not found anything wrong with the B-16.

Dude I've been wondering the same thing, I bought mine used in 2008 with 626 miles on it for $15k, but all I can is that it was worth it all the way cheap or not. I travel 40 miles a day 5 days a week and spend 31 to 35 bucks a week on gas 93 octane of coarse.

That's a given- all cars are cheaper than usual, but Sentras seemed abnormally cheap.

Awesome What's the current odometer reading?

Also- drove an S14 with a fully stock SR20 in it today. Only aftermarket parts would be the intake, radiator, BOV, and exhaust. Looks completely stock from the outside. I fell in love, but it's a conflicted love since I know that car can get me into major trouble. I assume SR20's can't hold a candle to the Sentra's gas mileage?

If you don't spend too long in boostville, you'll get about the same mileage with an S14 SR as with a B16 QR, depending on transmission too (CVT would boost the B16 a bit).

That's nothing short of awesome. If I weren't 17 and if owning an SR swapped car weren't such a liability I'd jump on it. But I'm not sure I want to risk it.

Ok. You've got the newer Sentra. The shoe Sentra!

Anyone got a B16 SE-R with more than 50,000 miles on it? That's what I've seen thus far in my price range.
