Just curious, we have always done this because the CA group is such a small group and parts just do not relate to the other engines.

Thats what i was think, i always came here when i needed any CA parts, considering we make such a small percentage of NICO the CA parts would be at the bottom of the classifieds list within seconds.

But im guessing its a Global new rule, not just for the CA section, probably in an effort to clean the forum up a little bit.

Exactly, and it's not new either. It's been around for a while, I've just let it slide in here. But the powers-that-be really want some uniformity throughout the forum, so that's how we need to do it. I know it's a change, but it's not that big of a deal and we'll all get used to it.

its still fine for people to make threads linking to their for sale threads so yeah i imagine it will be a minor inconvenience for maybe like 3 days, then we will all be used to it.

ive seen on other forums, in their parts classifieds for nissans. They have a selection that you cannot post the thread without selecting what engine the parts are for, OR they will have a MISC selection if its universal for all chassis

This would be a good feature, so that someone looking for parts, could go through and just see, CA or RB or SR or KA etc in big bold red letters next to the post name in a new column, so that they arent going through parts threads that say INJECTORS looking for stock 370cc ca injectors, which are completely different from stock 370cc SR injectors

YA HEARD? lol

I doubt that our forum software will let us do something like that but we could build a sub-forum w/in the engine forum. I'll talk to the guys about it and see what they think.

why not just have a classified links thread and sticky it...... seems easy enough to me.

that way we dont have 30 posts of go check out my FS thread.

if we sticky it, people are going to have to search through hundreds of posts to find items that are still for sale. Admin team isnt going to want to go in daily and clean up the thread. that would be redundant. A seprate FS forum for the CA section, the active threads would stay at the top like they usually do.

yes, but each link will be put in as a separate thread. so then you would have to enter each thread and click the link to find out if its active or not anymore.

The admin team is tossing around the idea of a new classifieds software. Nothing for sure or specific yet, but if we head in that direction, the classifieds should be much easier to navigate.

And in all honesty, I have spoiled you guys in here. I was supposed to start making you guys do that a long time ago, but never really enforced it until now. We were the only section still allowing FS threads in their sub-forum.
