Why a 240??

ok , i have a 240sx and i know its a good car and all but why is it so special that there is a whole website full of people talking about the 240sx, you can find a used 300zx for just a little more than a used 240sx if you look around. i'm looking for a new car, i have a 91 240sx fastback and i was thinking about getting a new 240, maybe a 95 or 96, and one of my friends asked me why i shouldnt just wait a few weeks more and just buy a 300zx, since they're obviously faster, and look better(in his opinion), and would probably be all around better . so i started to think my self why should i get a 240 when i can get a 300zx in just a 3 or 4 more weeks of waiting, so can somebody maybe convince me why i should pick a 240sx when i have an option of any other car in the price range(or a little more) of a 240 . help me decidethanks

300zx's that are in good condition are a lot more than a used 240...plus picking up an N/A one would just be dissapointing.

They have more upkeep than 240s, and are harder to work on. Just my opinion. Plus 240s handle better.

so in other words your saying i should get a 240 right, what about all the other cars in the price range of a used 240 (were talking 5-8 thousand about) , you would still go 240 if you had the money and the option of a 240 or any other car in that range,just want to make sure i get the right car quality and (especially) speed wise.

well, you can find any car for almost any price(dont quote me on that) as far as i can tell, yes i've found alot of "cheap" 300z's , you just gotta look around insead of waiting for one to end up at your local dealership

forgot to mention that the place to find almost any car for almost any price would be autotrader.co, cars.com, carmax.com(this one usaully sucks though) and of course ebay, but usaully the best site is probly autotrader

Turbo mr2 is in the same price range as an s14. Mr2's are faster. What about an FC TII rx7?

my friend has a 300z... remember if your doing moding u have to get 2 of everything because its a V6.. so it gets expensive.. but other then that the 300z is a sweet car...

yeah, my original plan was to drop about 5 g's into my car because one of my friends got a skyline engine that he said would go in my car that has 40 000 miles on it that he was sellin for 2600, its a v6 with twin turbos, and he said he could put it in himself for about 600(by the way this is a trustworthy, long time knowing friend so i know hes not b.s.in) . but i was thinkin that maybe i would get an s14 to put it in because i like the s14 body style better than the fast back so i wouldn't have to do alot of body work, like the kit and the paint job for example since i already like the car the way it is(with the exception of the stock rims). but anyways, i dont know what the hell ima do, if i get the s14 it will be a little while longer before i could put it in then if i was to just put it in my car now, the reason why i wanted to get rid of my car in the first place is because its an automatic and my friends saturn sL2 eats me up evry time i race him, so sumthins got to change, just not sure what.
