Has anybody dynoed before and after instake installation? Or know WHP numbers? I know the companies usually claim 10-15hp but we all know that it's usually not true.

w/ the little power that the intake adds, I don't think u'll see much diff between them in terms of power gains. Although most of us 3.5ers here go w/ Injen cuz of their heatshield

i cant say much since i dont have neither, but from what i've read, if i were to buy one, i'd buy the fujita. Reason being there seems to be a couple of cases where some customers have gotten their injen intake in poor built conditions. heatshield wise, i'd say thats a marketing appeal. The fujita seems to have come better built, and fits better, as well as the little useless goodies such as nos drinks and what not.

and you have the guarantee of a reputable company like Fujita

Go with Injen no question about it. They have a reputation to uphold. Their products are very high quality. They have had a few hiccups operantly with some intakes they have made for the A/C but, before then i haven't even heard of quality issues. If anything does happen to your intake i guarantee Injen will understand the circumstances and get it taken care quickly. Fujita is on the rocks, sketchy, to me. Ive been working around cars for years and haven't even ever heard of Fujita until now. Then again I'm all about you get what you pay for. So this is just my opinion.

no doubt injen is a noteworthy company, and in all honesty i havent heard of fujita till recently. However with fitment issues being a big concern for most, i'd say just go with fujita if "fitment" is a main concern, I also do agree Injen will always be on their customer's sides and make sure you are satisfied in the end, i guess its all upto one's preference.

Well, remember that only two people posted that they had problems, and somewhere around 50 intakes were sold in the group buy alone. The only other issue is the mismatching heat shields, which is nothing major, but is annoying. Also, Injen seems to be listening to their customers, as the MAF adapter has been moved forward on the intakes for the 2.5 so they wont rub (now its like Fujita's).

I had one of the first Injen intakes.... The only issue I had was a massive burr, sharp and had some hanging metal, on the inner tube coming from the sensor boss. Just took it to work and polished it.

A friend of mine does research on car info all the time and he claims he found an article which states that every 10 degree DECREASE in air temperature entering the combustion chamber translates into a 1% INCREASE in power. So if you buy an Injen CAI and you can drop the temp of air entering by 40 degrees on our car (for arguments sake), you get about 13 block HP. I don't know power loss to the wheels, but you get the point.

Since Injen only offers a WAI, I doubt the gains are significant in any way. Maybe 1 or 2HP to the wheels. I just do it for the pleasure of install and the pleasure of listening to the motor at wide open throttle.
