It was running fine for the past couple of months, quick, boosts great, blah blah blah...

It started to misfire in the higher revs. So assumed I fouled my iridiums and replaced the spark plugs. After pulling the old ones out, i saw oil in and around the coils. So I put too much oil in and it fouled my plugs...big deal gap and swap. Just to be careful i did an oil change putting in 3.75 quarts.

Still misfires, now...could that hot oil (a very small visible amount) fudge my coils? Or one of the coils?

QQ and how to test those coils? Just check for consistency with a voltmeter?

Thanks mates =)

mine is missfiring at idle and if i hold the revs at one rpm it missfires.. it isnt to bad but you can hear/feel it.

should i replace the plugs and go from there or is something wrong/needs to be replaced?

I'd check your gap on the plugs. .038 to be exact, I'm thinking mine is the coils, but I'm not quite sure yet.

I had a misfire problem which was due to a fouled spark plug. I replaced those with brand new NGK Iridium plugs and it was fine for awhile but then the same plug fouled up again. Eventually that cylinder stopped firing all together. After about 2 days of trying everything else under the sun I cut open my coilpack wiring harness and it was corroded quite aways back for the number 2 cylinder wiring. Replaced the harness and I've yet to have misfiring or break up. Not necessarily your problem, but it was one of mine.
