Curious wo know who has 18'' rims on their S14? I'm going to get SSR Professor SP1 wheels, but I need some advice on offset and if 18s are the best to go with. I plan on getting TEIN HE or Flex coilovers.

Suggestions???

offset depends on width you want to run, not height.-chet

before you ask us vague questions, why don't you tell us what width you want as well as how willing you are to make the wheel fit as opposed to getting one that fits easily. Are you willing to stretch tires, run camber, pull/roll fenders, etc...

are you going for drifter flush, grip flush, drag race flush, just some nice wheels and don't care about flush...

There is no one all encompassing 'good' offset wheel.

I have 18s. DIdnt want them. Looking to get new ones. An inch too big for me. As for width, if you're getting 18s dont get anything less than 8 inches wide. Just my opinion.

i was thinking 18x9.5 or 18x10 for the rearfor the front 18x8.5

Someday I'll put some TEIN HE or Flex coilovers on there

18*9 +5-10 then

or 18*10 +15ish.

Stretch a 225/40/18 on the front and a 235 or 245 40 series across the back.

You'll need rear upper control arms to control the rear camber and front camber plates to control front.

Be the man... my friends car originally had Volk TE37's with a 205/40/17 stretched across a 10 in wheel on his s14. Nuts.

We have those here in Phoenix - Some folks call it the "ethnically altered" look.

10 in the rear is more than enough. 9.5s are the widest i would go on one. I know 10s CAN fit, but its overkill IMO

to fit the 10'' rear would i have to pull, roll, cut and flare fenders for them to tuck?

what about the front?

I know you'd definately have to pull and roll the fenders for 10. Anything over 8.5 you'll have to roll for sure.

well, i know that I'm trying to go for the dished look, get as much dish as I can anywayThinking SSR Professor SP1 with the black face and polished lip or have them powdercoated and clear coated brembo gold with polished lip.

Just gotta get the biggest size I can under those fenders, I don't mind having to pull or roll the rear fenders or even flare them.

um do you even know what terms you are throwing around. pulling is basically the same as "flaring" unless you are talking about cutting out the metal fender and getting fiberglass widebody.

get 17s and slam it, 18s look retarded unless you have like hardcore yanki style, bn sports and ****.

imho

i know what terms i was using, lolpulling is using the stock metal mainly and opening up the fender, Flaring is like you said cutting the fender lip and adding fiberglass units or fender FLARES.

I'm thinking sticking with 17'' would do. 17X9.5 -X10 rear and 17x8 front

wtf why are you going to get rims that are so wide, the wider the rim, the more wieght, and that maens more unsprung wieght, and that can have a huge effect on the handeling of your car, i thank that 8 inches wide is plenty, the only way i would even get 17s is if i was going 5 lug and getting z32 brakes, it think 15s or 16s look a lot cleaner than some big g-unit rims

the flares on BomexS13's car are reallly nice. I like them, but if you f*** up a fender, then you lose your flares, and those can't be cheap. I like the headlight covers too, HAAAAAAAAATE the bomex.

Does stretching a small tire across a wide wheel significantly reduce sidewall flex? Is the only con scraping your wheels on curbs?

Dont worry about the bumper. It will get replaced with an M Sport of DRFT bumper.

ow3nd,lol

Thanks guys for your post. I'm probably going to settle on the 5 Zigen FNOR1-C wheels. Simple, clean, and I think the bronze color will offset the black color the car is.

However, lol, I'm still trying to get the best offset. I will be upgrading the brakes to Z32 front calipers and slotted rotors, and slotted rotors for the S13 stock rear brakes.

I've been thinking. Would 350Z Track model wheels work on a S13?

nice choice I was gonna get those but there expensive, what offsets did you get and can you post pix when you get them installed?

Here's my car... 18x8 and 18x9 +23 offset 225/40/18 tires, rolled and slightly pulled fenders. I need longer studs, my lugs only grab .25" of thread and i also had to pound in some parts of my wheel well because my tire would rub it when i turned.

http://www.photobucket.com to host pix for free.

Camber!!!!

flush....

have fun fitting those 10's in there...
