Mine isn't because my oil pump failed! Yay foreign debris in oil pan!! Yay strainer not catching it! Yay said material making it into oil pump gear!! Yay same said material making its way into #2 main bearing!!

Its all good though, the thing I enjoy most about my car is working on it. I just got a job that will allow me to spend a few thousand dollars on it this summer.

running very well, 740cc injectors at 50 psi base pressure and 25 psi on a 2871 with a 256 intake cam : )

have to sort a few issues with the fuel map in cruising portions.

holding its own against 3071 SR20 with solid lifter cams, straight through exhaust yada yada.

the difference between 20 and 25 psi is phenomenal.

mine is far from running....

hmmm i feel almost as if i bought another DSM, hahahah

only my DSM ran 11.92 at 115.

the CA should be faster(trap higher) and hopefully around the same or lower time with slicks.

Woah, ive got quite a similar setup!!

550cc injectors on a GT2871R at 20 PSI boost. I need to work on the fuel maps to get 25 PSI, but i know its reachable!!

BTW, mine is currently my daily driver as well. Cruise, P/S and A/C all working (more or less....)

mine does....... and it sits collecting dust.

every once and a while I will fire it up, but....... not much more.

on an ironic note..... I daily drove my S13 for 3 years straight without so much as anyone breathing on it. 2 weeks ago some ***hole in a 350z of all cars tried to break into my car at the mall. he didnt do much other than f up the paint a bit....... the cops pwned th dude.

+1000 for the mall having not only security guards that work, but fully functional video cams to record ***holes like this!

funny thing was...... he was trying to get into the bag on my passenger.... my gym bag.....

Mine could be running, but it's not. I could bolt my old hall sensor mount and crank pulley on and fire it up, but I'm waiting on new magnets from SDS for the new lightweight crank pulley and I'm building a new mount.

yup mines daily driven full interior, 6 point roll cage, powersteering, NO ac (p****) working on installing 4 speakers as of now and a nice deck of somesort to bump beats boosting hard.

you plan on shooting for 25 psi on 550's, and what ECU do you have?

I still regret not being able to feel the spec R s15t28 at its full potential. Regardless, Im not that sad cause pushing that turbo past 22 psi is gainless. I think id better start looking for a steel HG. Who's got the hook up on copper headgaskets.....you know who you is get at me!

Sup guys??? i havent been here in a long time. Ive been so busy i completely forget to drop in on you guys and keep up.

My car has been running great for the last few months. I drove it as much as i could through the winter, took it apart in feb/march to do rust repair. Its been back together and i have been driving it every dry day since i have no wipers.

I really need to get it retuned, my tune was only to 10psi and 4000 rpm. its slow compared to my EVO3 setup. i ran a 14.2 @110 first day at the track and i got nosed off by a evoX the other night on a 40roll on the highway. It needs more faster now.

Im taking it out to its first drift event this sunday im hoping it makes it out alright. Ill have some pictures of it up soon, its changed alot since all the OG's here saw it when we all first started on our cars.

Tim, you still dont have that thing running? man its been what 7 years of this stuff? buy a second motor as a spare!!!

Ryan, hows yours been?

DEE, whats been going on with yours ? still getting sidelined by real life?? s*** sucks!

well guys ill try to get in here more often, im re doing all my book marks so we shall see.

Jon

Im running 16psi right now. Its my daily so i dont want to kill it too hard but i still want it quick enough to scare people.Ive tested it at 20 but i felt i was pushing the limits.

I think i can hit 25 PSI on my 550s, but i need to get some more readings before i try and get there. Right now i still havent installed my EGT gauge, and i will need to get a wideband O2. I am running a chipped stock ECU, and i can adjust the fuel maps in ROM Editor. I did hit 25PSI by accident when i first installed my Blitz SBC electronic boost controller, and it was POWERFUL. Too bad i was detonating like a bi0tch. More testing and tuning.

BTW, i also have full interior. Not that big into stereo stuff, but i do have Bluetooth thru my JVC car stereo. Pretty cool.

Oh, and ive owned this car for 15 years this month. Bought her in 1994 as the second owner.

EDIT

And my next major upgrade will be some Tomei Poncams, hopefully before the year is out. SWEET!

Finally running again.

I blew my gt2860rs last march. She sat for over a year. Put in a gt2871r a few weeks ago. The weather has been pretty rainy so ive only driven it a few miles.

You are really going to be pushing the limits trying to safely run 25psi.

IIRC i have slightly greater than 90% duty cycle on my 550s with stockish fuel pressure @ 22lbs of boost. I personally wouldnt go any further.

It's so nice finally finding another ca in Ohio. How fast are to two forcedfab has? I would love to come up when I get my car done. It would be a good drive for motor break in. I really need some tuning. I'm sure you can't really hook me up but I would love to support yourname we need to get my car tuned and cruise. It would be a comfort feeling

Its been running, you just keep missing it. It is my daily, so it usually runs, but right now I DO have a spare, a 1989 E30 325i that is an absolute JOY to drive. Everything (every single thing) on the car is original except the CD player, exhaust, and suspension. Hell, it even has the ORIGINAL head light bulbs.

Mine runs perfect, drive it every day. I think it has about 5000 miles on it since rebuild/install, and 0 issues. It's just an OEM rebuild with SR T25 and other bolt-ons. Real simple.

Car has full interior, subwoofer, P/S.... but no A/C. And today it was 90* outside. So I need to get motivated and get out to the garage ASAP, before I melt away when it's 102* outside. Don't want another summer like the last one
