Got my ride stuck pretty badly. . I wasn't even really trying to play. So far, no towing company can help and me and my friend's 4 hours of effort yesterday failed.

It's near a river, it's raining out, and getting even worse. All I need is to have it pulled back like 7 or 8 feet. Didn't want to risk getting another vehicle stuck. I honestly think I need a tractor.

This really sucks. Pics will be posted later on.

I screwed up, that's what I did. Actually the ground appeared, and for the most part is, dry -- but the LF dropped into a soft patch, and the LR soon followed. . sucks. .

Should hopefully be getting it out soon. . dunno yet.

Have you tried digging with shovels and putting flat pieces of wood under the tires? That, or take another 4x4 and just yank it out. Post those pics!

Yeah, just the Bridgestone duelers. . they do okay, but not when the vehicle is sitting on the axles.

Got stuck around 6:30 PM Wed. down by the river. Tried that evening to free it with pieces of wood, jacking it up / placing stuff under the tires (was able to lift it one inch). Shoveled the hell out of everything, to no avail. Meanwhile, the forecast is rain for the next 5 days -- the river was already rising, and the floodgates were opened at the dam upstream.

Fast forward to yesterday -- I was down there working to free it, and I looked up and saw a guy in a Silverado heading down -- he stopped, so I worked my way over to him. He assessed the situation, and thought maybe he could tow me out. We tried that, but all he did was spin, and my truck would not move at all. The guy is pretty much Jesus, and as such, he said we should just head down and rent a Bobcat. So we rented a Bobcat for a few hours, and brought it back down. As we were working on it, we hear "Sheriff's Department!!! Stop what you're doing and come over here immediately!" *whoops*I should mention this is a county park, but it's ugly -- real ugly, just mud and crap and constantly floods over. He was displeased that we hadn't contacted the parks department to ask permission, and said we now have to wait for the guy to get there. I explained that this is my last hope, and last attempt at getting it freed, and he indicated he didn't care. The parks guy shows up about 2 minutes later, and I explained it to him -- nice guy fortunately, and he said to just put it all back when we were finished. We ended up digging out around the vehicle, and creating a bit of a road, then tugged it out with a tow strap wrapped around the bucket of the Bobcat while I was backing out.

I had a lot of fun driving it out of there. . wish I had video of that.

I said I'd have pics, but I have failed -- pics were the last thing on my mind as I was working to free it. I had to wash it off a bit too, as it was like riding a jack hammer at any speed over 35 (lots of mud caked in the wheels). I can provide pics of the area though.

as we stand now, the river is at 10 foot above flood stage, and will hit 18 soon. Parts of the road to access this area are now closed. I was ready to just write it off.

This area can flood as high as 7 or 8 foot above where the qx4 was.

I've been recently informed that this park area is a haven for homosexual activity -- I survived unscathed even after several hours of activity in the darkness *whew*

I'll work on it, sir.

So after work, I drove over the bridge and the entire area is now part of the river. It's about 3 foot underwater. I owe that dude something, hopefully not involving my mouth.

There really are some great people out there. . this guy took several hours out of his day to help me out.

haha the night before last, we were there till about 1:30 . . a car showed up, then backed out of there. . was either a meth addict, or a guy just looking for some fun. .

or it was a gay meth addict. I like to think it was that. . that's how I'd envision it.
