whooohooo!!!!! getting my s13 soon! New guy saying wassup! suggestions?

hey guys i'm new here. just wanted to say wassup to everyone. i've been lurking on the board for a month now and decided to post and say hi!

anyways i'm getting hella juiced cause i just found a s13 that's a good deal in my area. I used to own one long time ago but i sold it :\ dam i hella regret that cause by the time i sold it i didn't know about the whole nissan wave that was about to hit.

but anyways my car got stolen and now i'm getting a s13. i've been to a couple of the meets out here in sac and stuff and am just impressed with the whole scene.

btw got any suggestions on what i should start upgrading first?i was thinking about a rb20 but i wanted to do suspension and lsd first and stuff. also do you guys know any good proforming cat back exhaust that don't make much noise. i dont' want to get hassled all the time for stupid stuff

Welcome. Rb20 and rb25 tend to be front heavy in a 240 if you plan on drifting or doing any autox. If you have the money and want to dish out the cash, more power to you. Nick

i recommend upgrading suspension components first, Z-brake upgrade (s13 oe brakes are so weak and prone to warpage for that reason) and fixing any other driveability issues.

strengthing the chassis is very important before going turbo or any other high power application.. otherwise your car will explode.

i bought the car last night talked the guy down to 1300. think i got a good deal? everything works fine. and the car is hella freakin clean. no flaws on the exterior except for one small ding. came with new s14 seats. greddy strut bar, and hks cat back. gonna go down to the local shop cause they have a special right now (100 for lsd (5bolt) )i figure that i can put away about 600 a month that i can dump into this car. so hopefully by summer it will be all good btw anyone here from sacramento?
