I need a whole new exaust system for my 95, possibly even a new cat. When I warm it up in the winter half of the exaust comes out under my car door, and it is just starting to sound bad. I need something that is as plain and cheap as possible, just need a new one. Can someone help me out here a little as to where I should be looking?

thanks

If you are looking for an exhaust it all depends on how much money you are looking to spend. You can get an exhaust made at like midas or your local muffler shop but if you want a little more performance and reliability the best way to go would be cat back from a reputable Japanese tuner like Apexi, Greddy, or HKS. First you need to find out where the leak is coming from.

check around the cat converter to see if it has a hole in it, and check all the flanges to be sure all the gaskets are still intact.

Checking the Cat and gaskets is a good idea as said by Corn but unless you have smog in your state I would pull the cat anyway, runs rich but oh well life is too short to worry about milage.

If you want to get something a BIG step above a "Midas special" I'd recommend an aluminized system from BRM + a new highflow cat. I haven't checked pricing recently, but that should come in under or close to $400. Check with AZHitman if you're interested.

Keep in mind, if you're somewhere that gets snow, has road salt, etc. a stainless steel system is really the only one that'll have any real longevity.

You could also look at a Megan Racing exhaust system. They're fairly cheap and I'm sure one of our sponsors carries 'em at a good price.

can you (anyone you know) weld? if so, you can make your own cat-back for less than $100 easily
