Alright people, somebody dropped a nico card on my car at NOPI last year and I finally got around to joining. I used to have a '90 hatch but i sold it and got a '97 (hell yeah) and I'm in the early stages of building it now. Please feel free to answer any or all of the following questions in follow-up posts as I am trying to learn as much as I can about my car so I don't start pouring my money into it on worthless crap.

1997 Nissan 240sx (automatic... no choice, had to buy the car when i found it )

-Injen intake

-Tien S-Tech springs

-Custom Exhaust

-Nissan chin spoiler and side skirts

-Removed nismo spoiler (wing) for a clean look (let me know if you want to buy it)

...AND HERE COME THE QUESTIONS

MOTOR

Where can i find a hotshot header and how much $ will it run me?

Will an intake extension make my Injen a full cold-air and how much will it help?

Where can i find some aftermarket timing chain guides and how much will they help/cost?

What are the best aftermarket CAMS and ECU for my car - how much will they cost and where can I find 'em?

Does nismo have a web-site or catalog of it's performance line?

MISC./BODY

Where can I find some clear sidemarkers that look stock? (as in not ricey)

Does anybody know if Greddy makes a Gracer body kit for the 97/98?

Does Nissan make a rear piece for the factory kit and if so is it one piece or valences?

Is there anywhere you can buy new stock floormats for a 240?

Thanks for the help. On another note, is anyone going to NOPI this fall? I know it's a ricer show but it's the only big show I know of close to where I live. Don't get the wrong idea, I run with a little JDM crew. We're actually gonna be a NOPI-sponsered team now and we get a covered shelter to show our cars this year! WOOHOO! That Atlanta sun is a biatch . Thanks again

Firstly, use the ****ing search button. It's flashing red.Secondly, since I'm such a damn nice guy, and a fellow Kouki owner, I'll answer your last set of questions.

Where can I find some clear sidemarkers that look stock? (as in not ricey)

Just bought a pair off eBay- OBX or whatever it is makes nice stock looking ones. Although I will admit, it's pretty hard to make ricey clear corners

Does anybody know if Greddy makes a Gracer body kit for the 97/98?

Not to my knowledge

Does Nissan make a rear piece for the factory kit and if so is it one piece or valences?

They do both. I just bought a pair of "Navan" rear valences for my Kouki, and they arrived today. Here's a picture of the actual valences. There's a picture of them installed on Nicole's Kouki- lookin' hot. She has the Nissan 3" front lip, the Navan sideskirts (Just ordered those), and the Navan rear valences.Nissan also makes a JDM rear bumper, and JDM rear valences specifically for Koukis, to flow with the USDM/JDM SE side skirts. Check eBay and stuff for pics and info on that. I will be getting all that later, when I feel like doing a lot of painting.

Is there anywhere you can buy new stock floormats for a 240?

Again, just bought a pair off eBay- Nissan never made black floor mats, closest they made was dark gray. I got a set of black mats, with the driver's side one saying "Nissan"- nice and factory looking.

The lip you have for sale, is it the 3" Nissan lip? If so, I'll buy it

Actually, since I just ate some chic-fil-a, and am feeling ever so ****ing nice. I'll answer your first set o' questions too.

MOTOR

Where can i find a hotshot header and how much $ will it run me?

$20 is how much it will run you. Just ****ing search.http://cgi.ebay.com/hotshot-he...wItem

Will an intake extension make my Injen a full cold-air and how much will it help?

Yes, and Yes. It will help somewhat. Is it worth the extra $100 from Injen? probably not.

Where can i find some aftermarket timing chain guides and how much will they help/cost?

What are the best aftermarket CAMS and ECU for my car - how much will they cost and where can I find 'em?Are you turboing? What are you doing.... Kinda need to know that... '91 cams and JWT ECU. Whatever floats your boat.

Does nismo have a web-site or catalog of it's performance line? Not directly- but plenty of places have all NISMO parts.. check out http://www.courtesyparts.com

Just noticed you said spoiler. Do you mean the Navan spoiler pictured on that 240sx in the image I showed you? If so, I'll buy that too. I'll give you $200 for your front lip.

Firstly, thanks for not being a d!ck, d!ck. As an afterthought, thanks for the info on the other crap. Looks like I'll be getting some new sidemarkers and knock-off floormats soon. Sorry for the bad wording - the piece I removed was a nismo wing (I say spoiler - potato/potata). Comes 3 or 4 inches high off the back and clamps on the trunk so there's no drilling. It's a one-piece and very light.

Keeping it naturally aspired right now... gonna do a turbo swap eventually - RB26DETT if I don't get too antsy before I build up the cash and get something cheaper.

Yes,If you get the Injen extension you will have a full cold air intake. You sould see a few more hp with this mod,Maybe 3-4hp.Back when i had a ka i put one on my car and i felt a little more pull.

Hotshot headerhttp://www.240sxmotoring.com/jwthe2491ka.html

Timing chain guides you sould just remove them.

PDM Racing and JWT make some very nice cams for the KA.Look at JWT for your ecu too.

Could you show a pic of the spoiler? I'm looking for one for my '95

Haha excuse the cuss words, I was overwhelmed by the questions Hopefully it'll help ya out in the short term. If you want to go RB26, set aside a good $10k or so Just think, for the same price you could have an easy 450rwhp daily driving KA24DE-T

I will get some pics of my car and the spoiler on here as soon as convenient. You can attach the spoiler in 30 seconds flat and it's painted to match the stock 240 green with a small chip onthe back of it.

To Ka-T guy: front lip is actaully getting some fiber-glass love from one of my friends right now... it was pretty tore up from the previous owner and I am definitely keeping it unless I find another lip kit I like better - sorry.

... yeah, a turbo KA-T that will blow in 30k miles without built internals. Damn, I sure do love 450whp when it's blowing up my motor.

Come on now, don't be so mean, I just answered all your questions, with only 3 cuss words and a little sarcasm. $10,000 budget will buy you a reliable KA24DE-TFor example:http://www.import-autoperforma....htmlPut another $2500 into that kit, and you're golden. KA > JDM Engines, at least as far as cost and availability of parts is concerned.

Were you the guy that bought that 3" front lip off eBay a while back for like $75?

Nah, today was my first post ever. Side skirts, front lip, and spoiler were all on the car when I bought it. I put the intake and the springs on. I also got Nitto Neo-Gen tires... mmmm....

Sorry for the sarcasm, I gotta drive a half hour to work every day and I know it would blow in no time flat and I don't have the mechanical know-how to build a new block.

By the way, Nicole's 240 is lookin mighty fine if I do say so myself. I would also say so myself that more of that money should go to the motor but that's just me. Eh, girls and their imports...

Also, I saw the close up of your hood when you first painted and posted the pics - bad a$$, guy. Nice taste

hehe Neo-Gens are nice.. But I liked my Falken Azenis better, they seemed to... well.. disappear.. 245s are nice and all, but when Auto-x tires are combined with "spirited" driving + a lil' drifting here and there... Well, yeah, you get the picture.. Looks like my camber might need a slight adjustment

Also, just noticed you're located in SC? Whereabouts? I'm always up in Wilmington, hopefully you're on the coast, maybe we could organize a mini-NICO meet..

hehehehehe... slight adjustment... i had my front camber fixed but i was under the impression that the rear is factory adjustable and i told the guy at the service station that he needed to adjust it and he more or less ignored me - a-hole...

Actually I'm around Greenville but I would be willing to do a little driving if you wanna meet half way... i noticed you were from NC when you mentioned Chic-fil-a lol

Know anybody else in the area?

There's several S14's in the "triangle" area- a bunch of S13s. A friend Mike, owner of Urban Import had a black '97 SR20, he sold the thing for $16k and now has a G35..Another friend Jamie had a Zenki SR20, parted it out..Right now there's one other actively modifying Kouki owner in the area, hes got a green/cloth automatic, coilovers, made for "drifting". hehAnother friend Erik just finished getting the Navan kit on his white/black leather Zenki- and he stole my rims and made 'em 18"s, the bastard It's really clean looking now + 5spd Another guy, Justin has a fully built NA KA S13, super clean, going KA-T as soon as he finishes custom building a manifold.. A bunch of S14s in Charlotte and Greensboro too

Hmm... well I have the reserve @ $9500There's like 35 people watching the auction, so I'm hoping I won't get any quick last min bids.. heh, especially from NICO members with Zenkis- unless they're fully built KA-T's with 1yr warranties, and wanna trade

Are you running a KA-T KA-T guy? I mean I see your name but from the way you're talking it doesn't sound like it's built. If so, you're gonna piss e-bay off when somebody bids 12 grand and you won't sell LOL

hehehe... what's a pop charger what the hell is up with that little description... does it change depending on how many posts you make?

My screen name implies my intentions with my Kouki I am currently a stock-as-hell 240 Right now I prefer the reliability over the speed and the looks.. well the looks speak for themselves. Also a pop charger = intake that "produces 6.5RWHP".. JTW Pop Charger.. I think Stillen makes 'em too.

Also- my turbo kit will be coming from IAP- stage one, baby!

Well, assuming he has a leather interior, I would hope he gets black as opposed to dark gray or whatever the specific color is called.. But $60 for a factory set is quite cheap!

Yeah they got all sortsa floor mats. I stuck with the standard "Nissan" emblem. Greg, you should invest in NICO floor mats. I'd buy 'em!
