I am wondering is it best to buy the front clip or ust buy the engine and trans? I have a 93 SE, and I want to do the S-13engine swap. I want to keep the original look of the american spec model with the jap spec engine. I know that the front clips will come with the intercooler and piping. Are there any other parts that I would have to get? With the mounts are they much different can I mount the engine with the sr20 mounts. Any information will be helpful.:)

Front clip without a doubt. This way everything is there from bolts to wires. You can pull all that you need from the front clip and should be all set to go. Front clips are great from having to go digging through boxes for bolts, hoses and etc. Just make sure there has been nothing taken from the clip. Ignitor chip, blah blah etc. To my understanding the mounts are the same. So I would just compare the two to see which are in better condition (the SR20's probably). Save yourself the hassle and get a front clip. It makes things so much easier.

I'd check out that link for some great info on the swap. The guys at phase are great help.

Good luck!

well if you do what i did and just do the engine and transmission, you have to look forever and pay a lot of money for an ecu, wire harness and ignitor...just get the clip and thank me later.
