whole car is vibrating. help

Ok so my car has began to vibrate like crazy. I have to replace the clutch because it's basically gone. would that be the cause of the massive vibrations? It like the who care is shaking when im driving. any help would be appreciated.

What speed are you going when it happens?Your wheels could be off balance, or It could be bad ball joint(s).

mine shakes pretty bad at 50-mph and if im in 5th... in 4th it seems ok.... i know im missing a sway bar bushing and my tires/wheels have to be outta balance...just the Gs turn to get work done..s13 have to wait

the swaybrs wont do it tires would while ur drivine and the clutch would be jerkin not a viberating it could be ur transmission mount

Not enough info. Need to know when, where it feels like its coming from, how fast you're going, if any noises are associated with it, what gears it does it in, etc.

ok heres more info...

The car begins to shake real bad going from third to fourth. (btween 35-45) and wont stop till I cruise at around 55-60 in 5th.

And I have another problem now. It's dyin on me. I'll start it and drive it then park it and if i try and start in within about 30-40 min of parkin it will not start. Battery is good and it the motor turns but it won't crank.

(its a 1990 240 hatch ka24e with 173,000)

Its most likely a blister or bubble in one of the tires.....I had the same problem. Replaced my tires and the shaking went away.

It could also be a wheel balancing. Take it to a shop and balance the wheels and tires.

If that doesn't work it is probably a bad ball joint(s). This is a cheap fix. Less than $100. Just take it to a pep boys or a shop like that and they should be able to order new ball joints.

Still not enough info on the shake, could be bad tires as stated earlier, and this is the common problem you'd see with belt separation or bubbling. Could also be a balance problem, worn out bearings, or a driveline vibration.

The other problem is unrelated, probably your ignition control module, related to heat soak, but its hard to tell with just text.

i know the car dying part has nothing to do with it but it just happened. thanks for the info i'll look into those areas for the vibrations. right now though my car is parked at my base hobby shop... its dead
