Whole car for parts.

Seeing how I have the only G50 in my town,and parts are still priced as new,I was thinking about buying a whole junker or one that runs in need of help as a parts gold mine.Do you have to register the car even if you don't plan on driving it?

I've bought 3 non-op Q45's for parts and the recycler has come to my home and given me cash to tow the car away. In California they don't care who it's registered to or even if it's registered, as long as you have the pink slip to give them when they tow it away.
