Whoa dude this system bumps

Well got the car stero install finsihed today along with waxing the car .

We got a wrong connector kit for it as the bastard at the stereo shop kept trying to tell me my car was the same thing as a sentra and gave me the kit for it instaed of the one for infinitis and had to dash to town before we could install it ,there wasnt much traffic out that late so on the way back so at 85 mph my buddy proceeded to wire and install the new head unit , by the time the trip back here was over it was in , pretty cool huh ?

so today were messing around witht he sub and its stuff and all the sudden the car starts swaying along with the shop , turns out we had a 7.9 quake here in alaska , this 2 weeks after we had another pretty big one , for a split second i thought i had a kick *** system , what a let down . everything seems to be fine after the quake , only lost my 3 week old JVC home reciver due to water sloshing out of my fishtank onto it , cant have homeowners/renters insureance due to this being military houseing so im out that one ....

other than insatlling car stereos at 80+ and 7.9 earthquakes things are pretty dull here :ylsuper

bah , its not a system in any competition sense , just some good all around stuff , fronts have the stock tweeders in the A pillars, front doors have rockford fosagte 4x6 punches , rear deck is kenwood 6.5s with tweetders that tilt the reciver is a kenwood KDC-MPV619 feeding the stock stero amps and in the trunk is a infinity basslink , i wont vibrate any cars around me but it sounds very good inside the car , and i can play MP3s whitch was a biggie for me . the deck also changes display colors so it matches the blue intelliglo needles and blue backlit gauge trio i got from speedpeople.com , gonna be smurf heaven in there when its done

korn is bad arse! i like that reciever. i can't speak much on it though as i haven't kept up with car stereo stuff since ...oh about 96. I would love to put in something better in my car but the money to do it is crazy.

Head unit looks great! I would love to be able to play mp3's on my stereo. I've got hundreds and it would be so much easier than burning cd's.

the whole reason i got it dude , i loved the stock unit but it had to go for the mp3's

Yea the deck is awsome... but im definently going with jl subs... they just rock... amps, etiher sounds stream, pheonix gold or something else lol... got a recommendations for amps?

speaker amps are dime a dozen. I think your talking about sub amps so Jbl. the single best amps for the money

how many watts you wanna push?

I was talking to a local install guy.. he said it's not about how many watts you can throw down but the quality of the install and the amps, subs, etc... he's running 3 soundstream 10" subs off a bridged amp that only makes 50 watts... his sound is 10 times louder and clearer than my friend who has 3 12"s and is pushing 2400 watts (2 class d amps) I think i might buy the quarter watt soundstream competition amp... apparently its 1/4 watt pushs more than an explode am with 100 times less distortion...
