I might consider (in the near future) developing circuitry to mate the the SR Power FC to the KA24DE engine that is a plug and play solution, just like the AEM EMS ecu.

Just gauging what the general interest is before I commence on such a task.

Depending on price...there are quite a few options right now, the PFC would have to be pretty cheap to compete.

The PRO is that you have a tunable ecu that can be tuned with their commander. No need for a laptop. Most people who tune SRs either reflash the factory eprom, or tune with the Power FC which can be performed real-time.

Furthermore, you will be able to switch MAFs and injector sizes easily without affecting timing, which most piggybacks cannot do.

You can even use the stock SR ECU and reprogram that with KA maps...

Also, the KA has a knock sensor that can be utilized by the Power FC.

CON is that you will most likely have to re-tune the stock SR map that comes with the Power FC, however most places who do SR will also be able to do KAs because the user interface will be exactly the same.

It's not an easy task, hence the reason why no one has done it before. However, it there is enough interest I might put some R&D time into it...

He didn't mean compare the P-FC to piggybacks. It was in relation to other Standalones. In which there is quite a few options.

Yes there are quite a few standalone options for KAT users, but the only plug & play solution is the EMS.. others require you to tap into wiring, add extra sensors, etc etc.

I'm proposing additional circuitry that goes in between the stock harness connector and the power fc.

Obviously, pricing would be somewhere between the power fc and the EMS...
